We've noticed an influx of scam posts and are currently working on that, and will make a post in #game-announcements at some stage on what to look out for. One side effect atm which is being ironed out is people being falsely muted by a bot that's basically WIP to detect, mute, and delete those scam posters. If you're falsely muted it's best to contact any moderator available or wait for one to come online, sorry for any inconvenience for that in advance

Encase you don't know and i believe i have told you this before, though i am unsure at the moment as of writing this, We volunteer here, we're not paid, We do it because we like beam, We do not have set hours, we do not have any sort of schedule, We moderate when we're free and when we're up to it, We cannot see all the reports as there are many user's reporting all sorts of nonsense, especially around this time of pirates and non pirates fighting seeing in useless reports of petty hand slapping equivalent of fighting, It also does not help the mod team is currently stretched due to us all having our own reasons, mine being finding somewhere to live after a year of being borderline homeless, If i act like i do not care well for me it's because i have more important things to worry about as well as a few of the other mods too have their own reasons which i shall not go into, you could argue "Just get more mods!" sounds simple but unfortunately lots of people won't abide by the NDA so we can only hire a select few, trustworthy user's, it's like finding a needle in a haystack, It's harder than you think.

I mean, DJ’s and my username are green. I think it’s safe to say we’ve been on this server for a while, and we’re pretty involved in this community. I think what we have to say does matter. Don’t you see there’s a pattern of people getting angry at people who pirate? It’s not irrational behaviour, we genuinely enjoy this game and want it to continue to grow, and we want the devs to get the rewards that they earned. Seeing other people pirate and getting away with it is pretty aggravating and especially irritating when they keep talking about it. If we refer to rule 2, there is a zero tolerance on illegal behaviour. Pirating is legal behaviour, and it shouldn’t be tolerated. Yeah, pirating is going to happen but I believe most people, I myself included think it’s unfair for those people to just get away with it scotch free, even though it’s a crime. It’s not a serious crime deserving of a sentence or something but nonetheless it’s behaviour that should be discouraged. You can say that muting people on a discord server doesn’t do a lot, but hey, it’s a start somewhere right? At least it discourages such behaviour, and people who pirate will at least shut up about it. We’re not asking you to go to every member of this server and check if they have the game legitimately, we’re just asking that people who pirate should be punished and not get away with it as easily.

Hi there, just another easily fixable issue, but enforcing rules that don’t exist is pretty weird. Either make it a rule, or don’t enforce it. It’s hard to follow rules when you don’t know they exist. Anyway I’m not so sure why it’s bad to mention unofficial sites. It’s not against the terms of service of BeamNG drive, and it’s common knowledge to most that these sites are rather crap.

There's not really a way to clarify certain things in the rules without making them extensively long to the point no one would want to read them hence why they're quite general.
The term used for profanity is to "avoid" use, meaning it's discouraged but not outright banned here (with the exception of certain offensive words/ situations of conflict)
The bots moderate certain channels for profanity and any logs they make are not taken into consideration from us, they are there to discourage use in certain channels

Lets say, mike made a really cool bollide drag tune config
And bob really wants to try mike's tune

So mike can share that configuration in the channel, and list every mod they need

Man, that wouldnt work. This Server is crowded and everyone has his own Idea. There are the forums where you can talk to the devs and where the devs ask if they need an idea. A request channel would get so many messages that the devs couldnt listen to each one.

I meant the roles, because it doesn't seem necessary to have to list that when you could just refer to someone gender neutrally (but I would assume that at least 95% is male) if you don't know them, or even better just their name. you can call me pen/is if you so desire.

Yeah, and if a VC ever gets introduced, people would more then likely want to talk to each other and such, so that would be pointless, and still a pain for mods to moderate it since it'll be used probably 24/7.

Make only people who streams can announce their live stream in #livestream channel by using a role so everyone can use the channel for its intended purpose of posting live streams and not for off topic discussions.

And also make this on other channels within the SHOWCASE category and #714429950765301791

There are those who don't live stream for a living and just wana have some fun with others watching and for a role to be added it may take weeks for users to get said role.
This also applies to modders who may be small and don't want to commit to a mod if some sort of real life issue that prevents them from finishing the mod thus making the question "how to determine who keeps and loses the mod maker role".
If you want people to not go off topic there is the report tool and the @ moderator works for even faster response's. Also don't reply to those who drive channels into (mostly hostile) off topic land and just report the offending party's.

Besides there is a creators lounge for content creators (youtubers, live streamers ect) already.
