It can look weird and be confusing and we can recommend not doing it (Ex, when people talk about their 'Tranny' instead of just saying transmission), but if its not actually for harm then thats why we dont cut it. In australia swearing is just a way people talk, but in america most of the words they would use is offensive and insulting. 'Shitbox' is not a person target word in a harmful way. I have a suggestion , i feel like the slowmode should be upped from 5 seconds to 15, ok i will explain hear me out:

• Some people chat too much and this will slow them down
• It will force people to type more rather than spam their messages making the chat less chaotic
• People will have more time to think what they are typing down, making conversations better
• having more time between messages, users will finally read what other people have sent and not just ignore it making the conversation silly 😜
• People wont complain about 5 second cooldown anymore cuz its 15 now
• All in all i feel like this will bring more maturity in the conversations, people will think more about what they are typing, and will read more what other people have typed, i dont see any flaws in my arguments and i feel like its a great idea, if u have some constructive criticism thats cool

What I will say is that I'm fine with some words, including swears, being banned if there exists sufficient reason. What I don't find as good is words such as more ron being ban worthy. I mean, look at how easily Ion bypassed it with adding -ic onto it. I really would suggest a review of it as it is clearly not well set up at the current. I'd also suggest having a good discussion with the community regarding words that should be banned as their input on this is probably a good move.

This discord is NOT protected by the United State of America constitution 1st amendment as this is a private forum not controlled by the United State of America government. The 1st amendment only applies to GOVERMENT in the United States of America. There are EU, UK and other countries laws and discord TOS that DO require us to moderate certain words otherwise we would need NSFW channels which is not good look to companies that want to partner with beamng.drive like Gambler 500. While I can't say much about how our auto mod is set up you can read more about it here: https://mee6.xyz/en/ & https://yagpdb.xyz/ as we are not the only ones that use it.

Also there are people who ACT like kindergarten kids that learnt every swear word in 6 languages and think racism is great. The Automod helps with finding those words and others that are derogatory to those with learning disabilities yet act and function better then most people on this discord.

I do agree that some words on the "mute" list should be removed I don't control that part of the moderation on this discord despite how long I have been on here but here is the question I have to ask.

Would you rather have 4 chan that allows even worse things then 4 chan or Minecrafts early chat filter that permanently banned players for typing in "Night" or "Nigeria"? It's not illogical that you can't make a system that everyone is happy with, and with chat filters that will happen.

The prompt was rather vague, it says to post your "dream car" which will be judged by judge/s. Problem is that this is rather subjective. The dream car is something that the creator wants and isn't really applicable to everyone. I believe it would've been better to ask "build the best ______ car" which would shift focus onto something themed which can be fairly judged better. Also a required short write up would really help the contestants bring into life what they plan to do instead of the judges trying to piece the build together. Also as I've mentioned in the thread itself, it didn't specify if mods were allowed or if it was a vanilla only build. Sure, for an application like this mods should be allowed however it should really be specified if doing so violates the rules. To add to this, clear requirements for a picture would be nice as sometimes it's hard to see some submissions as the focus is on something else. I don't know what comes after so it could be a themed build, but I think that this feedback should help you in the near future. I'm not saying that the contest is doomed to be like this, all I'm saying is that there are points of improvement which can help in the next few threads. Thank you for taking time and thinking of these creative challenges for a massive milestone, it really makes us all feel special.

thats unfortunately an issue too, the average age and maturity here is a side effect of having a game with "cool crashes" as one of the selling points, having an amount of time to be in the server won't do anything, we've already set it up so the rules are front and center when joining but we know that it's usually chosen to not read those in full anyway
