#2024-2025 Iran / Israel and United States Clashes (NO MEMES)

exactly. Wasn't mean-spirited at all. Strong claims require good sourcing
dang i have cnn on a stream right now where a reporter mentioned it, but I'll find sources shortly. I know dropsite definitely made a recent post for it though. I'll send them in a moment
Nevermind all good, I must've misread while hearing the journalists on tv speak at the same time lol forgive me. this is the dropsite link i was mistakenly referring to though
I hope this isnt considered speculation or intrusion by a newcomer but I just want to point out that "allegedly" Israel (and "allegedly" Hezbollah) violated the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire multiple times with no break to the ceasefire. Regardless of the time frame given for finishing salvos or whether this is "fake news", its been recently shown that Israel can continue to do strikes with impunity regarding a ceasefire.

BBC is reporting that Tehran is currently enduring its heaviest bombardment to date.
Iran official tells France24 that if Israeli strikes continue after 3.30am Tel Aviv time, it will consider the ceasefire voided.
It is currently 3.18am in Tel Aviv.
It's 3:27 right now.
A thread with videos of multiple airstrikes in multiple locations in Iran

From Iran media:
No news of the beginning of the ceasefire on Iran's State TV.
They are just calling it a "Trump's claim", mentioning Israeli attacks in Tehran & some other cities.
I don't think Iran will officially announce anything until they know for sure attacks will stop.
Multiple outlets reporting the bombing of Tehran halted before 4am localtime

The military operations of our powerful Armed Forces to punish Israel for its aggression continued until the very last minute, at 4am.
Together with all Iranians, I thank our brave Armed Forces who remain ready to defend our dear country until their last drop of blood, and who
As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around.
As of now, there is NO "agreement" on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations. However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no
not sure about the veracity of this outlet
it seems that best case scenario, Trump prematurely announced an immediate ceasefire, when in reality there may have been a ceasefire that was not officially agreed upon that was supposed to start at 0400, and IL decided to get some hits in before the 0400 mark hit.
Wasn't it 3:30?
I was seeing 0400, maybe that was wrong

hmmmm I'd like to see the reddit source
Definitely a healthy dose of skepticism is necessary with this post

0400 Tehran is 0330 Tel Aviv?
what
hahaha, I'm Indian and this reminds me of something very similar
Oh yeah, the IRST is one of the weirder timezones and sits at UTC+3:30
been in here like a couple hours and have already learned so much šāāļø
can someone please help assess reconstruction timelines for the damage inflicted on both Israel and Iran during the course of this war? Nuclear infrastructure aside: how long might targeted civilian infrastructure and energy facilities take to be re-built?
A lot of shared footage shows high-rise buildings in Tel Aviv, for instance, suffering shockwave impacts closer to their bases. Under what circumstances would the long term structural integrity of such complexes be compromised?
I understand that geolocatable footage might be a little harder to obtain from Iranian cities because of nationwide communication restrictions
not to be mean but just read any national media outlet
NY times has some great info for a deep dive

https://x.com/ArmsControlWonk/status/1937311350289826084 Dr. Jeffrey Lewis says the 400 kg of 60% enriched Uranium was kept in tunnels at Isfahan.
This is false. Iran stored most of the 400 kg of HEU in tunnels at Isfahan. Neither the US nor Israel struck those tunnels. They aren't "buried" although Iran did backfill the tunnel entrances with dirt before the strike. No one knows where the HEU is now.
And more missiles from Iran. So did they lie to Trump or were they never consulted in the first place? https://www.threads.com/@yasharali/post/DLRFc5fMWtP

JPost is reporting this as happening Tuesday morning local time:

I'm not seeing the normal Iron Dome footage. I wonder if there is a higher concentration of hypersonic missiles?
It's worth noting that "hypersonic" is a bit of a misnomer when it comes to Iranian ballistic missiles. Yes, they do travel at hypersonic speeds, but that's normal for ballistic missiles. Hypersonic cruise missiles and hypersonic glide vehicles (which Iran doesn't have) have the ability to maneuver to avoid defences. It's also worth noting that missiles slow down to circa Mach 2 to terminal phase due to increased drag and the need to obtain guidance.
oh neat, I didn't know that. thanks!
(I need a notebook for stuff I learned in the Bellingcat server)
It doesn't help that Iran is purposely trying to claim they have hypersonics so no worries!
It's also worth pointing out that they have been using cluster warheads on their BMs, which can complicate interception efforts.
At least some Iranian ballistic missile warheads are MARV.
Meaning they have a limited ability to maneuver during descent at hypersonic speeds.

Latest tweet re:ceasefire
I apologize if this is an ignorant question or not appropriate for OSINT, but can someone explain how there is enough Iranian senior leadership left, that arent in hiding for fear of assassination, that would be able to agree or commit to a coordinated ceasefire? That was my first thought when I saw the "fake news" responses to Trump's ceasefire announcement and I still haven't been able to find a good answer to it.
Israel has officially accepted the ceasefire
The Israeli government in a statement carried by the Prime Minister's Office says that "in light of the operation's objectives being achieved, and in full coordination with President Trump, Israel has agreed to the presidentās proposal for a bilateral ceasefire."
"Israel will
Defense Minister Israel Katz says he has instructed the IDF to "respond forcefully to Iran's violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran."
did iran agree to a ceasefire? just catching up, sorry
Ive seen a lot of opposing accounts and nothing verifiable.
the situation is so fluid I'm not sure anyone has really agreed to anything
and all the outlets following the playbook. i cant find one source and all are only mirroring bibis and dons statement.
the israelis appear very convinced they're under attack and now want to respond, as for evidence of the missile strike I'm not seeing much
TOI is saying that only two missiles were launched and both were intercepted. if this attack even took place it may have occurred much earlier in the flight profile and too high for visual evidence. but this is the IDF's word for it
https://x.com/manniefabian/status/1937419055310254178
Two ballistic missiles were launched from Iran at Israel after the ceasefire was supposed to take effect, according to updated IDF assessments.
Both were intercepted.
That is the military correspondent for Times of Israel, no more worth than the article lacking any substance.
sometimes we use these sources. but not clickbaiter, pls.
I can send you more from more mainstream sources if you wish. Mannie has been reliable for news within israel I've found, mostly for air alerts
Reuters is now reporting the same. If thatās not evidence of the Israeli intention to proceed with the resumption of hostilities I donāt know what is
Trump asked both countries not to violate the ceasefire...why isnt media doing its job
The ToI blog and its correspondents social media post being evidence that the Israelis will continue hostilities makes sense, it was your statement that the ceasefire has been broken while using those as evidence that didnt line up for me š¤·āāļø
finally found something https://edition.cnn.com/world/live-news/israel-iran-us-strikes-06-23-25-intl-hnk#cmc9xgn9p00003b75ckqosy8s
I guess. ceasefires are a mutual thing, if one side feels the ceasefire has been broken and seeks to respond with force then the ceasefire is dead no matter what the other parties think
the actual evidence for the supposed missile strike which has triggered this response remains flimsy, but such evidence is not necessary from a government perspective. if Israel believes they are under attack and responds as if they are, the ceasefire is broken regardless of the facts of the strike
Israel would know very well if there was missiles fired towards them, but they would for obvious reason not share that data.
for sure. I'm not taking a position on whether there was or was not an Iranian missile strike, I'm only stating that there is a lack of verifiable evidence. however, it is entirely possible for the Israeli government to simply claim a missile strike regardless of the evidence and proceeded as if that were true. in such a case the evidence becomes immaterial and we're left with the present situation
Iranian TV has denied earlier Israeli media reports of a missile launch from #Iran toward the Israeli entity after the ceasefire, calling them "unfounded" claims.
ļøļø
ļøļø"Israel" had earlier announced that two missiles were launched from Iran toward the North, both of which were intercepted.
ļøļø
ļøļø#OccupiedPalestine
Very confusing times
You also cant have a one-sided ceasefire to break in the first place.
And it is relevant to an OSINT channel to know whether and how an actually agreed upon ceasefire has ended for valid reasons or not and whether the blame is justified.
In the context here, your statement "the ceasefire has been broken" alongside a claim from a single source on one side lacking evidence sounds a lot like "Iranians broke the ceasefire, see my attached evidence".
It isnt, oh here we are now regardless of what happened. The details matter or this isn't OSINT investigations is it?
So still I ask...
Was there ever even unilateral Iranian agreement on a ceasefire?
https://en.mehrnews.com/news/233590/Iran-reacts-to-Trump-claims-on-ceasefire-with-Israel
https://www.tehrantimes.com/news/514877/Iran-has-not-agreed-to-a-ceasefire-Trump-is-lying-again
TEHRAN, Jun. 24 (MNA) ā Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reacted to the claims made by US President Donald Trump on a ceasefire between Iran and the Israeli regime.
sorry I don't quite understand. the details do matter and I'm more than happy to see evidence of the supposed Iranian strike and have an analysis done. but if the ceasefire was in place at all to begin with (and I'm not sure myself), and if there was indeed a strike, then Israel has essentially declared its side of the deal void by claiming a strike and responding as such. I can't say with a straight face that the ceasefire still exists because Israel is now actively responding as though it does not bind them any longer. that's the entirety of my position. whether or not the response is justified is another issue
Ok, that is fair. I think maybe the simplicity of your statement and my perception caused some miscommunication. That Israel intends to proceed with hostilities as if a ceasefire, real or not, has been violated, is something agreed on.
I agree, a premature statement made in the heat of the moment

IDF Spokesperson:
Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Eyal Zamir, in assessing the current situation: "In light of the serious ceasefire violation committed by the Iranian regime. We will attack with force."

in times like these swearwords hardly matter, but it's fairly notable that I can't remember many times he's dropped that word in front of cameras. He's probably pissed that Bibi is playing him.
Israel has been playing the "ceasefire chicken" game for a long time now. They've played that game and know how to play it in such a way that they can always deny breaking the ceasefire and always drop the bombs regardless
Do we know what the strategic/tactical importance of that radar installment that they hit was?

If anyone's curious: 600 kg (Hex mass) of 60% Uranium Hexafluoride is about 167 liters in liquid form. It must be kept at >70°C, and pressured at >22 PSI.
and, it's about 49 x 49 x 49 cm cube in solid form (room temperature & pressure).
- Density: https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/Uranium-hexafluoride#section=Density
- Phase diagram: https://www.olisystems.com/resources/blog/predicting-the-behavior-of-actinides-for-power-generation-and-nuclear-waste-disposal/
- a bit of math
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/24/world/middleeast/israel-iran-ceasefire-timeline.html
Just a recap over the oddities that occurred around the ceasefire announcement
A lot more compact than I was expecting.
IIRC even if heat is lost the material can be recovered
Yes, if the pressure and heating are lost (25°C at 1 atm), the compound will simply freeze, become a solid block. (Referring to the phase diagram)
That brings back memories of the time I trespassed to go visit several thousands containers of uranium hexafluoride. Good times...
I wonder if the increased density of the solid (at 1 ATM) leads to self-heating, which then leads to sublimates to gas, which cools, and so on.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told CNN in a statement: āThis alleged assessment is flat-out wrong and was classified as ātop secretā but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community.
You forgot the best part
As an ex chemist, I'll have you know clouds of HF are ,in fact, very bad.
I am surprised at the thoroughness of censorship in Qatar. On the night of the Iranian attack, there was a piece of debris that hit the Al-Ahli Hospital in Doha near the X-ray section. There are pictures and videos of smoke and evacuation circulating on WhatsApp and I even spoke to the colleague of a doctor who was eyewitness to it. But it's not mentioned in local or international news. You can also be fined over $3000 for circulating videos of the attack.
I did receive a video from friends in Doha that I forgot to post here at the time
Is the ceasefire holding?
Seems like it
speculation, the qataris have an agenda of nonescalation as per hormuz being their cooridor so it makes sense theyd try to downplay
Also from the Israeli side they don't have an obvious reason to restart the bombing. The original reason, uranium enrichment, is off the table as long as the US is attacking anyone that claims Iran's program is anything short of "totally obliterated". Even if Israel had intelligence saying Iran is enriching to 90% right now they'd get extreme pressure from the US to deny it or not act on it.
Well, for a few weeks anyways. This administration has no qualms about contradicting itself once the Tiktok attention span statute of limitations has passed.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfnJY2ydvc0 A civil & structural engineer briefly went over what methods can be used to assess the Fordo damage. He said InSAR is commonly used in civil/mining application and it's accurate to measure ground settlement over-time and we'd know for sure if the underground space(s) have collapsed. (He didn't do the BDA)
Not a big burger, just kind of interesting to take note.
In this video, I discuss the potential use of InSAR satellite data to assess changes in ground surface elevation due to a collapse of an underground structure or due to other factors. I have wondered whether the U.S. military has used this technology to perform bomb damage assessments for the nuclear facilities targeted in Iran with the GBU-57 ...
The image at around 6:50 in the video - that was disputed, yes?
Yeah it's from the explosion of a Russian ammo dump iirc.
His 2 videos on the Kerch bridge bombing a month or two ago were interesting too I found.
https://radar.cloudflare.com/ir Internet in Iran is looking quite healthy now, according to Cloudflare's traffic.
Apparently the missile that hit Beersheba in was possibly the most advanced one in the Iranian arsenal.
Where in the article that says this was used in Beersheba?
Here's a Telegraph article stating so (probably behind the paywall, so I'll paste the relevant snippet):
"Targeted at the southern desert city of Beersheba, the ballistic missile ripped off the entire side of a residential apartment block shortly before 6am on Tuesday, going on to explode against one of the many āsafeā rooms inside the building.
The four people sheltering inside died instantly, bringing the total of Israeli fatalities to 28.
Only the previous day, Tehran announced that it had begun using the multi-warhead Kheibar Shekan (Ghadr-H) weapon against Israel, a so-called āmonster missileā.
While the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have not officially confirmed whether this munition was used in the Beersheba attack, Isaac Herzog, Israelās president, described it as āone of the heaviest missiles in the Iranian arsenalā. "
CNN airs side by side response to Hegseth accusations of not accurately covering the events and the IAEA info https://www.threads.com/@ash.renee411/post/DLaBsTTAQ4_
To be slightly fair on that, Hegseth is referring to a hyper-specific article in which his statements and accusations to such are somewhat aligned. Unlike us, they're likely not sitting watchinig every single CNN article and video like we are, they're getting little 1-2 sentence descriptors in daily news briefs.
CNN absolutely is reporting on this issued too compared to a lot of outlets.
For example "None of the pushback offered evidence that would allow Americans to make up their own minds." from their recent article.
So, to CNN, it's fine to spam report on "low confidence assessments" they've not actually seen but are leaked to them by politicized staffers. But "none of the pushback offered evidence" with the updated DIA claims, the CIA directors claims, nor Hegseth or Trumps.
This makes absolutely 0 sense. The only thing they are grading are individuals statements. They have no access to a source document that provides any "evidence". This is a wholly arbitrary weight that is intentionally being framed to lead beliefs. The original claims they made also offered no evidence, in fact, they technically have offered less data to support it than the other conclusion even if it is faulty.
In this emergency episode (unedited), Alex speaks with Andrea Stricker, an expert on nuclear energy and proliferation, about the recent developments in Iran's nuclear program following military strikes. They discuss the implications of these strikes, Iran's proximity to developing nuclear weapons, and the potential risks of nuclear accidents. Th...

Isnāt FDD a neocon think tank?
FDD was founded in 2001 as "Emet" ā Hebrew for "Truth".[14][15] In the initial documents filed for tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service, FDD's stated mission was to "provide education to enhance Israel's image in North America and the public's understanding of issues affecting Israeli-Arab relations".[15] Its mission broadened after the September 11 attacks in 2001.[15] Later documents described its mission as "to conduct research and provide education on international terrorism and related issues".[16]

She makes some statements like the documentation on how to make Nuclear weapons having been destroyed, which is a ridiculous assumption in the digital age. Overall not a convincing commentary

I think a lot of computers were also kaboomed in this assault as well.. do you not? The centrifuges are also super fragile was the other major point. If they were operational even slight disturbances would cause them to spin out
As said before, Iran has a lot of earthquakes, so they would have to deal with such disturbances on a regular basis.
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi stated that U.S. and Israeli strikes caused "very serious" damage to Iranian nuclear facilities at Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan, destroying uranium enrichment capabilities to an important degree, though some infrastructure remains operational and Iran retains the industrial/technical knowledge and capacity to rebuild within months if they choose to do so.
Its a safe bet that there are multiple distributed backups of any and all data.
Can't back up the scientists
Anyone have a paywall busted version of the above?

Iranās Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi has issued a fatwa declaring that anyone who threatens the life of Iranās Supreme Leader is a moharebāāenemy of God.ā In Islamic law, that designation can carry a death sentence.
The fatwa was issued in response to a formal question referencing ...
This is not necessarily true given Iran has already had their nuclear archive stolen from storage
Wasn't that back in 2018?, it didnt seem to have stalled development
Not stalled development, but changed priorities regarding secret storage
I wouldn't expect them to be the things that are damaged however though
Well they would obviously seek alternative storage even more after such an event so I cant see why you present the 2018 sacking as reason to sway towards thinking they've lost knowledge this time, or even that they truly lost it in that sacking.

Israel hit an Iranian prison for trans prisoners. It's looking like the entire trans prisoner population might have been killed in the blast. https://archive.is/2025.07.06-202730/https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/06/world/middleeast/israels-deadly-assault-on-iran-prison-incites-fury-even-among-dissidents.html
That reads more like an ad. That guy essentially just bought the data from a commercial satellite operator and published it for publicity's sake.
The epic four-slide presentation shows the full depth of their analysis and how much they care about the topic:
Slide 1: Title screen
Slide 2: Before and after VIS pictures of Fordow. They manage to cover one of the two very distinctive bomb entry points with their 300m red circle, possibly by random chance.
Slide 3: The slide above. The diagonal crosssection adds absolutely zero additional information.
Slide 4: Full page ad.
What's left is the picture above. And without access to the dataset it's generated from and simple background information like for example when the pictures were taken and by which satellite, it's next to useless.
Possible. Thanks for your theory.
So assuming mostly dirt displacement.
I thinks that IRGC propaganda or disinfo
To be clear for others reading, the story is about strikes on Evin prison generally, and overall seems well sourced by reporters actually in Iran. The detail about the trans wing is that everyone in it is āmissing,ā according to a human rights lawyer ā and from the way I read the sentence, the part attributed to gov sources is that they are āpresumed dead.ā
That strike hit Evin and people got angry at it.
Things like that remind me of Allied hit a prison where there was anti-Nazi political prisoners lived there and a lot was killed. Because at that time, no one couldnāt know it.
yes. considering how many much more high profile individuals around that section of the prison are dead (like ministry lapdog Ali Ghanaatkar) it feels very believable that there were no survivors. The reporter used the word "flattened" to describe that section of the prison. Flattened doesn't leave much room for hope
Hard to make out from the satellite imagery for me, though thr videos of the inside indicate it was a huge massacre.

OSINT defender is notoriously unreliable. I havenāt seen anything to this effect
However, we can ignore sent defender and Meidas and just go look up what was quoted
Sentdefender uses capitalization like confetti and that post didn't have it, so i figured he copied and pasted it out of something real
They did not send them to anyone but acquaintances and I don't think they're published anywhere on social media even.
The person told me they were just in that room literally 5 minutes before the debris hit!
If they didn't want them published, why are you publishing them here? What have you done to make sure nobody can be identified as the originator of the video and possibly face consequences?
- I got their permission to. I should clarify, they said it's okay to publish them but that they didn't want to post them to their own social media pages. 2. There are currently no consequences for sharing videos from that night, fines or otherwise. I checked all the ministry sites.
But I will remove to stay on the safer side of things.

Hey everyone!
If you don't mind, I'd like to go back in time a little - more specifically to June when Iran invaded Israel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKRfB8QNlXE
Most, if not all Iranian propaganda on the alleged F35 shooting seems to come from videogames (Warthunder and Arma 3) or AI.
This could be a training video? Anyone have any clues that could help me move forward w/my research?

Thats an 11 hour video, what exactly do you want help with?
Thanks for asking, looking in to footage of the alleged shooting - so 00:18 to 00:29 minutes

The "missile" is not a missile but a target drone https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HESA_Karrar
The HESA Karrar (Persian: کرار) is an Iranian jet-powered target drone manufactured by Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA) since 2010. The Karrar is a derivative of the American 1970s-era Beechcraft MQM-107 Streaker target drone, probably incorporating elements from the South African Skua, with hardpoints added for munition...
It appears to have a AD-08 missile attached underneath, as seen here https://www.elespanol.com/omicrono/defensa-y-espacio/20231025/karrar-dron-ataque-iran-podria-usar-israel-lanza-misiles-guiados-cazas/802420102_0.html
I dont see that this combo would have any chance of scoring a hit against something like an F-35 https://www.armyrecognition.com/archives/archives-land-defense/land-defense-2022/iran-has-developed-ad-08-majid-new-short-range-air-defense-missile-system
If you give Iran the benefit of doubt and this isn't completely unrelated or arma footage, the thermal video might show the interception of a low flying drone or loitering munition. The stream of fire in the first few seconds could be a shorad system like a Pantsir. The hitting missile appears to come from the same location.
The clip before with the launch of modified target missiles is some test/training footage with multiple cameras from carefully chosen angles set up for this occasion.
Israel did lose a few drones but there is no truth to the claim of four F-35 shot down. Otherwise it would have been easy for Iran to show credible footage of the wreckage.
The last seconds in this clip seems to show an air-to-air missile fired, possibly a fighter shooting down a drone https://x.com/rudaw_arabic/status/1934948142698430607 but its impossible to say when and where the footage is from. But the conclusion so far is that it is a bunch of random clips from testing/exercises and nothing that supports the claim of a F-35 shoot down.

Interesting footage of two Israeli ALBMs hitting somewhere in Iran during the 12-day war. I think the target is the Imam Ali missile base near the city of Khorramabad.

A snapshot of two air-launched ballistics that, on that night, targeted surface hangars and tunnel entrances to disable the base. The first ballistic failed due to incomplete performance, but the second one hit.

Over the course of 12 days in June 2025, over a distance of some 2,000 km, Israel and Iran engaged in the first modern long-range missile and drone fire conflict between two countries that did not share a border. This unprecedented air war from June 13-24 demonstrated the effectiveness and tested the limits of modern missile defense capabilities...
Satellite imagery shows that the US-operated THAAD air defense site in Israel has been expanded, with 4 new launchers added to the existing 6.
ļøļø
ļøļøThe expansion began shortly after the 12-day war with Iran, during which Israel faced a serious shortage of interceptor missiles.

I don't really know where this belongs so I will just leave it here:
https://en.mehrnews.com/news/240133/IRGC-seizes-an-oil-tanker-in-the-Strait-of-Hormuz
please keep in mind that Mehr News Agency is sponsored by the government of Iran and using it as a source should come with a lot of caution
Iran has apparently seized another oil tanker in the Persian Gulf - I find it quite interesting to compare how little role these actions play in Western media in comparison to the similar actions of the US in the Caribbean, even though the general concepts (accusation of smuggling --> interrupting and seizure of oil tankers) are strikingly similar
It's a small flagless product tanker without any western connection, that was apparently seized within Iranian waters for smuggling subsidised fuel out of Iran to anonymous customers.
Geopolitically, that's an internal matter of Iran.
The "Skipper" that was seized in international waters by the US is a supertanker with a cargo of 286 million liters compared to the 4 million in the Iranian example.
The vessel was sailing under a false Guyanese flag, making the seizure legal under UNCLOS.
Still with the most likely cargo destination being China and the ship also servicing Cuba and Iran , there are some parties that are quite unhappy about this seizure. Not to mention Venezuela and the dampening effects this has on similar ships and Venezuelas oil trade.
UNCLOS only grants the right to board if nationality is suspected, seizing is only explicitly allowed for a few other reasons.
But in any case this is somewhat moot because the US isn't a party to UNCLOS anyway, and is doing more of a "I follow what I want" approach.
WRT UNCLOS: while the US doesnāt subscribe to treaties it broadly adheres to them so theyāre a good baseline
Well, they've been blowing up civilian ships in the Caribbean for like a month now, that's not in UNCLOS either

Since we're now in 2026, it might be helpful to post general regional military movements and deployments in #middle_east-north_africa
If/when active military operations begin, a dedicated thread for conflict monitoring will be created.
Continues here or new one now?
Good question. Waiting to see who all is involved
There's been some posts in #1473081625775706295
I think I'm gonna stick with the 2026 one. It has the relevant background already there
Agree
We can always rename the https://discord.com/channels/709752884257882135/1473081625775706295 post if we need a better reference.
I just saw this one monitoring South African news. If it belongs elsewhere let me know
https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/israel-and-us-launch-strikes-on-iran
Yeah, there's a new thread but I see where you're coming from since this is a spiritual successor to the 24/25 conflict
Iran isn't my focus but will post in whichever group(s) those who are following more closely prefer
The news about the new war goes there since its like an entirely new campaign
Theyve been tracking it there for a few hours now, but things are still very fluid and are still happening
This channel was so new it wasn't even showing up in my channel list but I've reposted there and started following the channel just so it's available if I get more news from my feeds
Sounds like a good plan
