It’s okay. The prestige of a college doesn’t define your future life-long career. You can get the same degree in most colleges. Especially for CS, the job market isn’t that great right now. Even with a degree in CS, you’ll struggle finding a job. That’s just how it is. If you want to reach the top, then you gotta grind for it. Grind that LeetCode. Grind those projects. I know many people with WAYYY better stats than me that got deferred or rejected. I don’t know what got me in. Perhaps it was the fact that I prayed to God everyday. Perhaps my essays and LoRs were way better than I thought they would be. Perhaps my activities stood out to the AOs vs everyone else’s activities.
