Welcome to the cscareers.dev Discord server! This server will primarily be targeted towards internship/new grad roles. We want to create a platform where all developers can benefit from. With the release of the server, we have formalized a few of our goals with the server.

They include:

  • Exposing people to what a real technical interview looks like
  • Assisting people through the entire interviewing pipeline
  • Providing a support group of like-minded individuals

Personally, I was extremely novice to the whole interviewing scene a year ago. The whole process of studying would have been more enjoyable if I was in a community filled with individuals in similar shoes. My ultimate goal is to provide that to the end-user and assist them however I can. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via DM.

📖 SERVER RULES📖
Logs and Records:
Please be mindful that things you say here are public. We cannot prevent people from screenshotting messages on this Discord. Please exercise caution and refrain from sharing sensitive information that could harm you or others if it became public.

** Cheating:**
Cheating includes:

  • Leaking screenshots of Online Assessments
  • Asking for assistance in an Online Assessment
  • Asking for questions asked in a specific Online Assessment/Interview; topics (binary trees, strings, etc) are allowed to be shared - specific questions are not

Harassment:
Harassment includes:

  • Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion
  • Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior in spaces where they’re not appropriate
  • Threats of violence
  • Incitement of violence towards any individual, including encouraging a person to commit suicide or to engage in self-harm
  • Unwelcome sexual attention
  • Publication of non-harassing private communication
  • Publication of another member's personal information without their explicit consent

Reporting:
If you notice prohibited behavior occurring or have any concerns, please contact the admins. They'll respond as promptly as they can.

We will respect confidentiality requests for the purpose of protecting victims of abuse. At our discretion, we may publicly name a person about whom we’ve received harassment complaints. We will not name harassment victims without their affirmative consent.

Consequences:
Participants asked to stop any prohibited behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in prohibited behavior, the admins may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from this Discord.
