yeah i definitely think that the roblox game dev scene is getting better and even smaller developers are starting to make a living, but i still think it's a worse WLB (provide consistent updates, deal with majority-children playerbase, manage communities) than actually just working at roblox for a guaranteed income and a ton of stock that will probably have long-term growth. it's also less reliant on how roblox does as a company; if it goes under, your SWE experience will land you a new job. however, if you've dedicated your entire career to making roblox games and the platform fails, it's harder to move on to new engines/platforms while retaining your past audience and income
