the charge lasts a surprisingly long time

they never went below 90% for me even when i wore them literally all day from 6 am to 10 pm

you could probably wear them for a week without having to throw them on the charger again

also you'll know when theyre charging because both shoes should make a rumbling noise when you place them in the right spots

and the charger lights on both sides should fade in and out

once the charger lights stop flashing it means theyre fully charged

it's a weighted formula giving you an idea where its rarity approximately stacks up relative to other clones,
but i dont think ive ever seena clonex collector ever give it any consideration,

primary considerations are going to be DNA based, whether or not the clone is an MK DRIP type, the overall aesthetic, certain traits are simply more desirable

its a shame you had no involvement in the clonex community prior to aug 8th.

you would have learned that we discussed the topic of a CTO, even had dedicated CTO channels to debate what comes next.

in summary, we are very limited to what we can do because nike controls the IP. this is not a conventional web3 nft project that can be easily sold or passed onto a new owner or financial backer.

theres no revenue or even potential streams of significant revenue with which to support further development of something clones would actually want or utilize. (no royalties or right to access royalties)

one of the biggest complaints concerning the nike era was the perceived "extraction" taking place. holders are hesitant to see nike return or new corporate overlord to take charge, if it means just another pipeline of products to be purchased few people even really want.

very few number of holders remained engaged in the community, making it even more difficult to reach any sort of consensus.

ultimately, the clonex contract was finalized and assets were moved to decentralized file storage cementing the fate of the collection. The core fan base has begun to view clonex as a legacy nft collection rather than any sort of ongoing project.

for the time being, i feel we should learn to enjoy & appreciate clonex on it's artistic merits, one-of-a-kind takashi murakami based avatars, provenance as one of the OG nft collections of the '21 craze prior to generative AI works taking over, top 10 by volume, etc

in other words, clonex can comfortably settle in as a collection more akin to cryptopunks, than a BAYC competitor building on the bleeding edge of an emerging metaverse.

i feel any half-hearted revivals will only serve to undermine the heritage of clonex. we can do more to serve the legacy of clonex by protecting it against forks, bad ideas, bad actors, further scandals or losses, or anything that may bring further dishonor to this house. i feel it's possible that by demonstrating we as a community wish to defend the clonex brand in this manner, we will bring more value through stability to the clonex legacy collection & it's fans.

In this ecosystem, since CryptoPunks have a high price tag of about 50 ETH, it takes a long time to accumulate the funds to buy one.

However, if we were to implement this for CloneX, it would only cost about 0.2 ETH to buy one right now.

Funds would quickly accumulate in the protocol for automatic purchases, which would significantly increase liquidity. The floor price would also gradually rise.

I believe this mechanism would be a net positive for CloneX holders.

If everyone have an opinion, please feel free to post it.

This time, as you previously suggested, I want to start by consulting with the community instead of doing a sudden launch.

if you could take the lead on this and help compile the community feedback.

i think you're grossly over simplifying how quickly or easily this protocol would accumulate liquidity. there's no cheat code thats cracked market dynamics free of any downside.

there isn't even a lot of trading volume on the clonex collection these days,

the floor price can move against you just as easily as it can move up. the 1.2x target can take very long time to be hit before you can flip even a single clone. if acquired at an inopportune time, you'll be stuck holding it indefinitely.

this isn't a particularly novel idea, lots of "flipping bots" already operate on the clonex market, which buy and flip for small margins,

only difference here is rather than having gains accrue to the individual operating the bot, they're going into the protocol / fund the underlying tokens LP, if you're the sole holder of those tokens, it effectively amounts to the same thing as privately operating a flipper bot.

nothing is really stopping you, or even requires much input or consent from the community to deploy this proposed protocol, provided you deploy the code and required liquidity yourself, you can field test this idea yourself before demonstrating it operates profitably and invite others to then purchase the token to gain exposure to potential profits.

For example:

• If an item is sold at a 1.2x price, the proceeds could be used to buy back tokens to maintain buying pressure.
• The profits from a 1.2x sale could be pooled for holders.
• The pooled funds could then be used to provide funding for community-positive initiatives.

I'd love for you to share any good ideas you have for customizing the protocol.

I believe this would be a more positive approach that would increase liquidity, compared to maintaining the current state. If you feel that the negatives would outweigh the positives, I'd appreciate it if you could point out what those are.

2. This is a very important point.

For example, I will offer quests similar to what OpenSea is currently doing.

Only those who complete the quests will be eligible for an airdrop.

For instance, if you purchase $50 worth of tokens, you will receive an airdrop once the token price reaches a certain point.

The main purpose of this protocol is twofold:

to increase liquidity and to raise the floor price.

For this reason, airdropping tokens to all CloneX holders from the initial stage would cause the ecosystem to collapse, because the selling pressure would be greater than the buying pressure.

Therefore, my plan is to implement a distribution model that benefits those who are currently active and contributing to the community, and who get early information.

@hollow aurora the linking mechanism still works last I checked a few weeks ago, but it does costs gas to do the linking (at least for SZN1 clothing).

However, after you link it, scanning the NFC with your plain old phone and following the link just takes you to the main RTFKT page (as opposed to the old product page it would take you to that gave you the NFT and NFC info and the owner).

Only reason to link right now is to use the RTFKT (Cirl) App to scan linked NFCs which does provide the ‘this product is authenticated’ message with a green RTFKT coin.
