have you progressed from that day yet? Ryozo does not spawn in the game until Spring 8. after that day, he should be available to talk to from Kibou River - you should be able to find it on the map.

it's not wrong, no. there's no wrong or right way to play the game - everyone plays differently.
Ryozo works at the Field Research Lab so look for him there too. however, I mostly find him in the morning along the river in Kibou Park.

I think you buy it at Hoshi woodworks but you might need to unlock a skill tree node if you don't see them. Mine were readily available after the quest.

These are examples of a few recipes that are listed under multiple appliances but only seem to work on the appliances that also require cookware. Not sure if the data dump is wrong or the game isn't allowing the recipe because it's looking for cookware on the wrong appliance or something.

I don't think you'll get a solution. I think there's like 9 insects that won't spawn. We just can't complete the quest right now. Unless someone from the dev team wants to correct me on that, this is my impression from the data dump the wiki team uses and the multiple conversations people have had with you about this.

So i just double checked the steam achievements and gotta scan them all (collect all 59 insects) says 0.2% of the player base has completed it so theoretically we can do it, it's just super duper hard.

The video is just a (great) how to, doesn't go deep enough to fully complete the board.

I can send you mine soon but I'm missing a bunch of insects and 2 birds as well. I haven't finished the 1st year and my wildlife skill is not high so I think that all plays a factor in the spawn/capture rates but I really don't know.

I know weather/season and stuff was also supposed to affect the spawns but I'm not 100% sure if it does. I know the seasonality in the data dump isn't fully accurate but I haven't been tracking when/where/what conditions I got my critters.

I have NEVER found all of the birds or bugs, but I have the achievement. It counts across multiple save files, counting the same bugs again.

I think it is currently impossible to finish the Ryozo quest to fill the boards. I don't think anyone has done it on any platform.

The insects and birds don't currently spawn only in their specified seasons in the critter log, it's hard to know when they're going to spawn. There are two birds that it seems no one has ever found, I believe it's the two marked as having a specific spawn location on the data dump. However when I asked a Dev about it, they said no birds are location locked.

I think you have to start with the small one. When you buy this one, it's blueprint will be unlocked automatically.
(And I think the blueprints of the other ones will be sold by Phillip after unlocking the relevant skills in the building branch of the skill tree)

Buy them at the temple. (Look to the left of the steps to the shrine/tree and there's a building with 3 tables. Table 1 is the charms, table 2 is the blessings/curses, table 3 is the ofuda or battle cards)

You can only buy one charm and one blessing/curse a day and some rare ones are needed for the skill tree so be sure to check every day! You can also sometimes buy battle items from the shady seller in higashi. Supposedly you get dorai (the bells) as gifts but they are VERY rare. I haven't seen one. But I'm only just building friendship with residents.

Yeah building relationships was not a priority for me but just know that it might be hard to progress friendships with specific people without progressing friendship with people around them. I.e you mentioned Kat so maybe do stuff with her sister Natalie and others close to her (not sure who triggers what)

I think kat is also friends with Stephanie obeng, so she might be another to hang out with. Idk, I'm no relationship expert.

You should be able to use a cast iron skillet, steel skillet, or steel spatula on a stove or a grill.

Yeah, some of the appliances can be wonky. If you try to cook on multiple surfaces, don't try to pick them up together, put them in your inventory individually. I've lost a lot of cooked items that way 😂

Yeah you can pick up the full stack and if you right-click to place it in the pan, it will put one at a time. A lot easier than splitting the stack.

Sell it to the university field lab. You can also submit fish to the lab, so submit one and sell duplicates.

For the iced coffee, the stock in shops is rotating. I actually need iced chai latte and can't get it i think based on the season I'm in. For the relationships, I don't personally feel sex adds to it - I think it's an issue with a lot of opinions and no right answer. There's plenty of committed, asexual relationships.

You unlock the 6th slot from progressing in the skill tree

That's why I want to blow up cooking after figuring out what the difficulty levels actually mean (it's from the data dump - there's difficulty level and skill branch and it basically clues you into what skill you need to unlock to do the thing.)

I have some hesitation to do that though (other than how much work it would be) since the data dump does have some inaccuracies and I haven't tested if you can "discover" a recipe you haven't unlocked.

Ok i tested this a bit and found something interesting (specifically with cooking) - when the skill tree says "learn new recipes", that means you can buy new recipes from Naka. HOWEVER, as long as you have enough tool wheel slots and the ingredients, you can cook any recipe even if you haven't unlocked the recipe for purchase. Idk if this is intentional, but I do kind of like it since it relieves some of the frustration of not having to max out cooking to cook really advanced recipes (especially since cooking might be the only way to get that item and someone might ask for it for a quest and i find leveling cooking to be painfully tedious personally). So you should be able to cook all recipes after you unlock the 6th wheel slot (you just have to discover them instead of buying them).

(I know that discovering recipes was intentional, I more meant the being able to cook recipes you havent unlocked the skill tree node for)

Well I'll have to test that out and see as I just need to wait on my spinach to grow to make the spinach salad to unlock that 6th slot and start making things I need for other areas and skill trees to progress.

Finally unlocked the 6th cooking slot, went and used what resources I had and just looked on the Wiki for 6 ingredient dishes and was able to make a good bit that ended up being "new recipes" and since I never turned in my beef steak, no new recipes at Naka to buy. So you could slog through cooking easily and make all the dishes you need for the skill tree once you unlock that 6th slot technically. Will have to wait a few harvests before I can make all the things needed to store for once I can max cooking lol.

Yup, so after you unlock the recipes in the skill tree, you should see them for purchase in naka, but marked as already owned if you already discovered them.

I was able to get it to work by changing the name, enter, changed the color and then ESC. It was still there after reloading the game.

Iirc you have to wait for the first fertilizer you used on that plot to be out completely. It may look like the fertilizer is gone but there might be some lingering. Or dig the plot again to start fresh. Ill try to find an older post on it 🤔

Yeah I think thats how it works. I found some old posts where people were experiencing simlar stuff. Also there was an issue with some plants not getting fertilized if you had irrigation in the perfect (wrong) spot, blocking the hitbox i assume for the plant. So if you have added irrigation since you last fertilized that plot that could be it too!

Yes, this was my first thought as well. I befriended him to max and tried to gift him figs, no effect. Mb it requires romancing him, though it would be strange, since no other achievement makes you romancing any person in particular. that's why i'm so lost..
