Do you take out the batteries before or after you tape it? If you take them out before then it won’t track the controller when you tape it, and it’ll stay stuck wherever it was when you took out the batteries. Another thing though, if theres something in between the headset and controllers, it won’t track properly and in this case, it could be the lower half of your head in between the two so that could be messing it up.

Also, is the controller broken? If it’s not tracking properly and you can’t point out any visible damage to the controller it could be the tracking ring inside which is broken

We think it’s important to try and make the game playable by as many people as possible. One common issue reported is that some players want to be able to play with one controller.

How it Works
Currently, the Single Controller Mode will automatically recognize when only one controller is connected. The hand associated with the disconnected controller will lock to your torso, allowing you to move around and jump with the connected controller.
