This game has basically turned into a mod-fest, full of players who abuse the life out of mods—especially in competitive modes—with almost zero repercussions. It’s genuinely disappointing to see how the game has evolved over the years, seemingly leaning more and more in favor of these so-called “mods” rather than fair gameplay.

The lack of clear, consistent rules around what mods are considered acceptable is frustrating. Having vague or ambiguous guidelines just doesn’t work. Mods should either be allowed or not allowed, period—there shouldn’t be some confusing middle ground that’s open to interpretation.

On top of that, it would be amazing to see the physics properly balanced between standalone and Steam versions. At this point, Steam players have a massive advantage because the physics differences are so extreme that it almost feels like cheating.

That said, I honestly doubt anything will change, and the game will probably just continue slowly “dying” as a result.

I absolutely agree with this statement. Everything is essentially “made up” around what’s considered usable. In the past there were minor mentions of “legal mods” (which is why Grate/Utilia were seen as more acceptable), but in general, allowing any modification to the game files is pretty silly.

Also, if anyone hasn’t noticed or tried standalone versus SteamVR… my god, the difference is huge. Steam Link/Air Link alone lets you play at a TTT-level without even trying, and honestly, that’s kind of sad.

I’d love to see “pro” matches all use identical standalone headsets to actually prove skill—otherwise it just feels like a gimmick.
