ZachGrinds it is not bugged they made a decision to change the preds so it would be the same as 72hz preds for whatever hz you are on sadly this makes it so "steam players" can change their preds and since standalone headsets or oculus headsets are stuck at the same preds it makes it near impossible to tag and to even just beat them since they move faster

you can play 60hz, it'll feel the same visual, but you will not move nearly as fast and your hands won't go nearly as far as they used to

preds/predictions are what the game thinks your hands will go to. So like predicting where a ball will be ahead of time

essentially, but you will be able to move your arms fast as 60hz, just not moving even when you are moving extremly fast in gtag you will be moving just slightly faster :/

it works fine it's just that gtag has a set predictions when playing so now you have set predictions where-as before they would change based on the hz being more with less hz and lower with higher hz.

That's also why people wanted lower hz so they could have higher predictions essentially making them have an unfair advantage over other player's kinda like how some people change their preds now, but unless they do a check it is unnoticable, or they could have a mod that gives them a speed boost and mods that enable anti-report so they don't get banned/punished for cheating/modding.

not too sure, but I remember that some pro's accused Swipe's for using double hz or something along the lines... and he was considered the best gtag player at the time... Most of the time player's cheating goes unnoticeable and when player's post montages they can change their FOV and say it is for the quality of the video, to clarify it does in fact make the video look better, because you can see both of their hands and what a normal POV for gtag would look like, but it also skews you, the viewer's perspective as it makes their arms look longer and like they are going faster so if they did happen to be cheating it would be harder to notice when everything is skewed and then they add effects on top of that!

Damn, the recent updates have had the opposite effect on me lol. Before the update I was on 60hz 2500 texture and I had a super hard time branching. After the update I couldn't play on my old settings without major fps drops so I went to all default settings and my branching has improved a lot. I guess the smoother gameplay helped me out.
