Doing anything that gives you an advantage is bannable. Other players will report abuse, so don't abuse things. Changing hz in either direction too much gives advantages/disadvantages in different ways. The best thing to do is to simply play default hz because that's the way the developers intended the game to be played.

The game currently calculates its physics every frame, instead of being time based. So then it becomes performance based. The more frames/hz that you have, the more times the physics are able to be calculates, so you're able to have more control on ice. The devs would like to change that someday
