I mentioned other games just because they had relation to what "competitiveness" looks like in video games

Standing still for a long time in one area can make it so you either don't earn any points or lose points, getting tagged first decreases ur points all the way to getting tagged 4th will decrease ur points, if u get tagged later u gain points (as long as u didn't stand still for too long

youd need a high ranking system then, like 5 stages but youd need a lot of points if it decreases for idle but its a different approach than anything else

but I just dont see how itd work still. as much as id like to agree there is just certain aspects missing

how many points lost, the current idle system and quest disconnecting from lobbies and overall just cheaters like with mods

For the standing still part u can paint an invisible circle around the player at any time, if they don't move out of that area in a specific time frame then they might lose points

modders imo have the biggest impact and with all these new exploits I just cant see it being fun to be "High Ranked" because even in games like apex the higher you advance the more cheaters youd see because everyone is topped by them

That is true, thats why you would need a better report system with it, its decent now but u can easily get someone innocent banned for no reason

Yes def, and also placement, so if ur last and u survived for a specific amount of time then u can get a lot of points, but if ur last and ur time survived isn't as good u get less points

like say you were less obviously cheating and using movement macros in uhhh ill just say apex again you could get reported, and if its too consistent for a low level youd get banned

I feel like hours played could contribute a big part into player reports because I personally think hours can tell a lot about someone or just genuinely the anticheat system which imo seems pretty fine
