While the glitch is a bit annoying, especially if you want to casually play, what I'd recommend is just to not play canyons for a bit, its unfortunate but any game with a glitch and kids, kids will try do it, even if it gets them banned.
now all that's reminded me of is some kid telling me "well if the developers didn't intend for it, they'd fix it already", as an excuse to do it

Can't rn so I'll explain step by step
The setup to get out the map typically includes 2 ropes. You jump at the first one, swing to the 2nd, then turn around, and launch off the 1st one to get out the map. Right?
So be ready to jump at that 1st rope. Don't jump to grab the rope where it's chilling, jump to grab where it's GOING after the person touches it.
So I wait where people start from, wait for them to jump from the 2nd rope, and then I grab the rope AFTER they do, because the rope gives priority to whoever touched the rope last.
Does that make sense? Pls feel free to ask questions, I hate these schmucks who actively ruin the game for others

It's very clear when someone is trying to get out of the map. I've taken complete control over the ropes very easily with this method. There's the 2 that people typically use, and then there's the long row of ropes that's nearby, but you can easily swap between guarding both of them. They need a whole setup to achieve what they want, meanwhile it only takes 1 good timing to completely mess it up for someone else.

Bundles are broken, ice physics are sorta weird, the Igloo in Mountains is all kinds of screwed and you can get stuck inside random invisible blocks as well as throw yourself with it
Also you can't make purchases at all on PCVR Rift Store
Not even shinyrocks. if you play on Oculus Store PCVR it just instantly cancels every purchase you make, you have to preform your purchases on Standalone and then open the game on PC again

Ah. I don't play mountains and I play steam so I haven't ran into many of those. But I much prefer the steam ecosystem over standalone. Being able to listen to music, use discord in VR, and mess around with mods (in a private obviously and "legal" mods) it's over all a better experience imo.

Virtual desktop is kinda bad for gorilla tag I've found. It doesn't feel the same like I went from VD to airlink and the difference was massive I couldn't play walls or anything on VD but airlink was so much better

my issue is that my PC setup is in a living room so I have to drag a cable across a hallway and to the other side of the room
and if I didn't want people to trip on it I'd have to keep it off the floor, either by just clipping it to the wall just above the hallway or suspending it in the air with a pulley but that wouldn't work too well either since that side of the room has a ceiling that gets higher and higher

Someone opened a github issue on the revive repo with this same problem so I think something about the way Revive initializes Oculus games under SteamVR just breaks gtag
