There will be a short window where new people can't get the game when it switches. 12th Dec until the 15th while it moves over to the live version.

The next update is the 'Launch Update' on the 15th its not the Holiday Update - Early Access pack will leave the shop then.

While I agree it's not as super accessible as it once was, I think the game has warranted a price tag for a while. I don't know of many games that give such intensely high gameplay value for free
Like yes it's a downer in some ways, but the game has clearly proven its worth it. And it's not even effecting the vast majority of players in a negative way

And imo if you've got a pcvr setup, which is already several magnitudes more expensive than just a quest, another couple dollars to play the best gorilla locomotion game there is, isn't a bad deal
