Okay so question. How does the new attack stragety like 442 etc can somebody explain how it works and what beats what

I am not sure what you are asking.
Usually if someone give 3 numbers it's to give the proportion of each troupes he want (the military ones). in order infantry, range and cavalry. so 442 would probably mean 40% infantry, 40% range and 20% cavalry. that would add up to 100%. That's all I got for you, I cannot really explain to you how to win against it as it depend on other factor than just the troupes. there is the wall, the equipment of the opponent, the familiar, his research, his potential reinforcement. I don't have enough experience in the art of war to give you the best advices

(there is also his army lineup that you have to think of)

Well, it depend on a lot of other factors. let say the guy have an infantry phalanx line up (meaning his infantry is in the front line), then you might want to go against him with your cavalry in front. BUT, if the opponent have really good equipment for range, his range might chew your cavalry off too quickly for you to really take advantage of his lineup. In that case you might want to face his infantry with your own infantry (no type advantage but at least the range won't make damage to your infantry)
Maybe your target have not only strong equipment but also strong research (maybe even strong walls), you might never get to fight his soldier if you don't break his wall first.
They might also have good familiar that handicap your army and boost theirs.
There is not one answer for your 442 scenario, there is multiple ones depending on all those other factors.

Sure, first thing first. my team was prima donna, rose knight, child of light, Scarlet bolt and tracker.
Step 1: Kill the two guy hidden the bush first using scarlet and tracker. (always be ready to trigger prima donna heal as the opponent spell take down the health of your heroes really quickly by chunk.)
Step 2: hard to give good advice here. what I did was trying to save the magic from most my heroes the most I could and I focused the guy on the right first with scarlet and tracker spell (scaret first because she lower defense). once the guy on the right was dead I didn't use spell of scarlet anymore as she kept fainting when she was on his left for some reason.. but if she stayed on his right she somehow survived.
Step 3: you need luck. You need to win the fastest you can or reinforcement arrive. You kill the tower on the back and you prey that your rose knight stun the opponent as soon as he have the animation of throwing a spell or heal. If he manage to trigger his spell it's death . Sometime tracker stun him too.
My team was all lvl 59 rank 8 / blue grade at the time (except for scarlet that was gold)

Bare in mind that those information are the info I wrote back when I did it (translated in english). and that was more than a year ago

basically, if you are not lucky enough to stun the opponent enough you lose

Well a fact you might like to consider is that each Technolabe is equal to 33.3 original days of speed (with free RSS). If you had a stack of 30 day speeds in your bag, and you used them on 5 day researches, you'd be an idiot.
There's more than plenty researches available to start that are inefficient for Labe usage but still give good points towards events, and you can have them running while using labes simultaneously. So there's literally no good logic to wasting them on small research.

If you count in days (and therefor in time save up) then yes. I agree with you, technolabe is better use in big/long research. But the research that yield the most point are the ones that take the most time also... The fact is it's easyer the bigger the research is, the less speed up it require per points. (finishing 5 research that give you 20k points each will make you use more speed up than finish one single research that give 100k)
So if your goal is to actually finish some infernal and challenges, that could be an option to skip small research that doesn't yield much points with technolabe and use the speedups where it matters.
You are in your right to think it's a bad investment and you rather use it on actually save you some time. But I wouldn't say there is no good logic to use them like that... there is only ONE way to get the medals for watcher and dragon and it's by actually getting lots of points during the events.. and the events that are the most easy to complete are the research ones.
Of course, if you are p2p it doesn't matter much as you can buy more speedup or tomes. if you are f2p though you have to save a loooot of speedups /gems in advance to complete those. (and you have a limited amount of research you can made before the tome are simply required. at that point it will be even more long to prepare. If you finished all you good research with technolabe you'll never complete your watcher and dragon)

Especially when there's so many big researches (more than big enough for watcher) that are incredibly inefficient for labes. It's not like you lost the chance for the watcher research by using labes, but you will have wasted your labe if you use them on small researches.

1 Technolabe = 33.3 days of original speed with whatever RSS needed for free (excluding tomes, and not in Monster Hunt tree - do not use labes in MH tree they cost triple).
Some researches are very efficient (like 33, 66, 99 etc days original). Labe them.
Some researches (even big ones) are terribly inefficient. A 34 day research will cost 2 labes. Do not labe it, it's a huge waste.

On any research, tap the green speed number to see the original time, take that number and divide by number of labes. If it's less than 30 days/ Labe - don't use labes.
It's really simple

Anyone who says it's better to use the equivalent of a free 33 day speed (and free tens of millions of RSS) on a small research so you can use your actual speeds and RSS on big researches is flat out giving bad advice.

But by all means; do what makes you happy. Everyone else doing dumb shit just makes me stronger

You need 320 medals to max watcher and 320 to max dragon. challenge giving dragon typically need either 3 300 000 or 3 800 000 points to validate (for 3 medals) and infernal for dragon required around 1 200 000 points. watcher is usually around 900 000 points if I remember correctly. Sometime, you get a challenge for dragon in the same time as an infernal for watcher but it's pretty rare.
So in average you need about 1 000 000 point per medals. so around 320 000 000 worth of might to max one of the two. Do you truly think there is that many "big research" available ? What a joke. You definitely need to plan a bit more carefully to max out those hero. Finishing up your big research when the event aren't on or by using technolabe is definitely a loss in regard to that.
