If they have Antiscout, the only way is by testing the front.

Here is one method (everyone has their own way, but this works)
You send a march of mostly siege with heroes to break the wall. Check the might
Then send a small amount of range with a few buffers in cav wedge. Check the might.
Compare the might before the range test and after.
Then send a small amount of cav with buffers.
Check the might. Compare the might drop from a range test compared to a cav test.
If it loses a lot of might on a range test and very little on cav test you can guess it's a cav front. If there's no might drop on the range test but a lot on the cav test, that's an inf front. Very low might drop on range test but 0 drop on cav test would indicate range front.

However it depends on what your base stats are like and how many troops the target has. Someone with a small comp (like soloable with ~2m troops) might drop 100k might on a test, whereas the same size Castle with 20m troops might only drop 5k on test. This takes a little practise.

***Do not send your leader on testing you will get capped! Just send heroes that match the type you're sending.

If the target doesn't have Antiscout then it's easy: break the wall, scout again, then send a small test, like the range test, scout again. You can see what is most in the infirmaries. (You can't be certain from wall break with siege. A few random T1 from other types often get killed by siege and give bad results)

If the target has a gathering tile or camp and you're not above tile hitting, just smack the tile and then you know the formation 100%

Note that frontline testing won't tell you accurately if it's in wedge or phalanx if it's a big comp

That's not free relocators... That's the maximum amount of relocators your guild can use... You'll have to spend your own relocator for it... If number drops to 0/150 then you can't relocate anymore

why is it not good to send a mixed attack? i feel like that would be harder to counter right?

Yes it's harder to counter because the defendant can't see what formation you're in. However if you send mix, you only attack with the frontline, so instead of your 375k solo or 2m rally, you're only gonna get 120k solo or 630k rally actually useful. Additionally, you lose attack stats because you don't have blast gear on so you're just weaker.
Unless it's forts, you always attack with a blast

i think i get it...so it mainly sounds like blasts just pack a stronger punch but just hope that they aren't online to counter you? and if you suspect they are online, don't even send mixed since they can just heal their troops from the infirm?

Yeah blasts are stronger than mix... That's why some people send blasts during wonder battles and carpet so that the defender won't have time to counter what's coming.

If defender does manage to counter and has good stats and fills, they make blast hits look like noodles in news lol..

But if the attacker counters the defender, oh my reds

Well yeah, The point of those homecoming scheme is to lure people that play the game into luring people that dropped it to come back. They make rewards that "sound good" (such as the spin thing) so people have arguments to convince their friend to come back but it's still not as good as actually playing the game because they want you to continue playing every day. If it was more profitable to drop the game and come back every so often some people would do that on the regular and that's not good for business

Yes and no, ofc some comes from packs but saying that's the reason is false. Most of people nowdays runs alt accounts for ressources and tend to not use their bags. By doing that and adding ressources you get from monster hunting yes your bag will grow fast.

Best method f2p for increasing bagged RSS: don't use your bags. At all ever, unless it's healing on the fly during active war events.

How to not use RSS bags?
You have a bank. Guild bank / personal bank, and some hypers. Always gather, always hyper, always keep your bank stocked. And always get RSS from either gathering, raiding dead castles or hypering so that you can do every cargo ship without using bags. Start your researches and training and buildings without using bags. It takes time and patience and effort.
I've had people join my guild with tally empty bags, after 6 months there have a couple billion of each in bags because we work at it.

Go just with rang, change gear, talents and heros to range. You have to prevent wall from being destroyed. For some reason there are traps which have like million multiplier for morale. And they are added even if you have no traps in castle.
