I realize, some characters has a delay in the recovery once they are throwing down. Ex: if you knock down kenshi, he will get up and close to you. But, if you knock down Quan Chi or Sub-Zero, they will get up, stance switch and then they will get close to you

Depending on how much you play, you can get 300-400 souls a day without too much problem through 1hour quests. Once you fuse more golds and unlock quests that get you 9souls/hour (x3, so ~27), you can start grinding for souls to open diamonds
