Well Skarlet’s tower is not exactly an easy option to chase her. Probably most veterans will get the copies from the tower (say 2 in average), and they chase 8-9 more copies! The pack is 3% only! That is 10k per copy. 😕 And my question is what are the additional ways of obtain ability when the cards become older. Eg. Assassin Skarlet is not new, but her obtainability is similar with KWSK (apart from FW for now).. and I hope that there will be more ways added to obtain the card after a certain period.

I haven't used Tanya much, but I used cos LK, KK JC, and silver Kenshi on 60. LK is my strongest, and I spammed power drain while atacking with LK and snared the other two until Shang was alone. It took some time, but after the other two were gone, I just made sure Shang had no power.
I would say use your strongest with Treacherous Tanya, and your strongest power drainer. Bear in mind that Cage needs to be close, and Kenshi can power drain anywhere.
You best bet will probably be power draining and stalling Shang, once alone, to ensure he doesn't heal.

@vale star I usually save for an entire year for the Black Friday sales, while getting a few small things here and there throughout the year, like spending 50 souls to refresh a tower to beat a boss. The one exception I made to that last year was when MK11 Raiden, Jade, and Kabal were about to be made into diamonds and their gold pack was 33% off, so I went ahead and max fused them. I do hourly quests every hour, every day. The most souls I've ever had at one time was 148,000.

Absolutely serious. I'm f2p but I save big time. For me, if the character isn't maxed out, I'm not satisfied. Instead of collecting a few characters here and there, I'd rather focus on specific characters and max them completely out, minus the feats of strength.

Im at battle 120 and I just needed to kill Shang tsung but my characters aren't strong enough.... everytime one of his missiles hit me they do like almost half damage

Just play the five battles, and check character store in order to max gold characters that you need. I believe that eventually you will make it.
