You need to put both pieces on a diamond skarlet, fill the friendship bar on the left by using specials, then when the last enemy is below 25% hp you can click it to friendship them. If you have the special ending talent you can use it against any enemy below 25%

No one knows which packs might come out. If you are confident enough to do multiple runs on towers, go ahead and refresh it. Its definitely worth it. But if you just want to finish it once, don't bother. Still the rewards are really nice and you drop rares/epics even if you lose. Maxing commons via winning various bosses is important as some tower uncommons have really good effects/stats.

Also, you have to track the cards you really need. If you are planning to max out Card XYZ, look at what pack its on, whether its DK or Soul pack and save your souls for that one.

Card rotations are random and you never know which one will be next. We just know that there is a possibility that EWP might come around discounted at 301 Souls during Lunar New Year but you never know. If you are a beginner, focus on completing your gold challenges, maxing your golds kollection and waiting for the right diamond pack to drop.

Do you have tower gears for edenian tower? If you don't have rares and epics, I will not give you false hope. I completed a round of FEDT and some of the battles post 180 are very hard without tower gears. But you can always try. I don't recommend you using refreshes though. There aren't many days left.
