Imo just keep playing battles. I know you may not be able to get to 2000 hearts, but these battles can drop good gear/characters for your account. You can also choose to skip it and focus on doing challenges and strengthening your account to the point where you can purchase the gear from krypt.

Open silver packs, gain more characters, do your quests, gain more souls from quests. Save up those souls and use them on either the mk11 or klassic pack.
