typically challenge gold cards have better base stats and passives than normal gold cards

though sometimes you have outliers to this (grandmaster subzero, inferno scorpion, possessed kenshi, so on so forth) just like with diamonds

not all cards are created equal and some normal gold cards are much better than their challenge versions

if you have the cyber lin kuei programming node unlocked in the talent tree

then it also affects the fire he inflicts on himself

while it doesn't change how many ticks of hp regen he gets from the fire, it still lasts noticeably longer when you don't have that node unlocked

Because it's damage isn't just tied to card level. The individual specials can be levelled up themselves. Also equip gear.
