One player was given 180,000 points more than they should have. They should have been given 20,000 Club Points but an error was made.
The reason Club Points were being added to some accounts was because the Rebel Pass Started before the Club Season, so as a small number of players completed the pass levels, they lost 20,000 Club Points. The pass needed to start at the same time as the Club Season to stop this issue from happening.

I didn't monitored the club rankings continuously like @muted galleon did, but saw about 600k points raised from nowhere in another club. We also had 1 player in our club who gained 200k.
I'll be straight - I don't believe the investigation result.

Is it possible there are two separate 200k point issues? One is where Hutch was adding 20k manually to some who didn’t get it but should have, and they accidentally got 200k. Apparently that happened once and it was fixed.

But another error seems to be being reported by multiple players that some people got 200k from a glitch in the game when they bought the veteran at a certain time.

No, i'm quite confident in the research by the team that if the Veteran Pass was doing this, it would have been flagged in their investigation. I can drop them a message to say that was the concern for the cause of the issue, but it matches up with a staff member adding "200,000" instead of "20,000" too perfectly to be Veteran Pass related.
Again, happy to pass on your concern as to the cause - but only 1 player had excess points that couldn't be accounted for.

I mistakenly started the Rebel Pass early. As a result some players received Club Points before the Club Season had started which means they were discarded by the system.

As a result we looked at our data to see who lost out on those points and then went in to manually add the 20,000 points. 71 accounts were affected and manually altered. At some point either myself or someone helping me added 2 in the wrong place giving 200,000 Club Points in stead of 20,000 Club Points to one user.

We investigated which user had the extra points and checked it against the list of manually updated accounts to confirm. Obviously removing points is something that we want to be extra sure of so we needed to make sure we had the right person.

Only a human error was made on the first day and has been corrected. No mechanical errors have been found. Any mechanical errors would have shown during the investigation, but there were none. All player points adding up were legitimate from buying Veteran Pass, from buying levels and racing.

The problem is that the current leaders disposition was basically formed in the first 2 hours of the season, when error occured.
The sample data would easy resolve the question.
It's a Hutch error which spoiled the season. So it would be good to spend some extra time to demonstrate good will to community. I stress: it was Hutch error, not us. So you should provide as lot data as possible and be fully transparent in this issue. But you prefer to make us to defense and feel guilty.

Hi Katie, Slow is correct, Im refering to the Titan ladder. Those races did not count for any B task. I think the bug is also for daily challenges, for example I had a task: "race x times with a D chevrolet". I raced my daily D offroad race (with the Blazer), and did not count.
Apparently only easy money races (and double pay) count for the tasks? They should all count.

That will help much better then just typing about the issue here and hoping,

Hello everyone. I started playing Rebel Racing on around 2020. Just today I returned to this game after few months.

The problem here is when I started up I was able to grab free cash through ads. Now whenever I try to watch ads, it gives me this error (refer to img 2). It gives me this error mostly after watching 3rd ad. This time it went to 4th ad for the first time otherwise it always gets stuck in 3rd ad. I tried to reinstall game, clear cache and everything possible but still I can't watch total 5 ads.

400 is a general error, not timing

A 1023 error means that the game hasn't finished downloading the next ad to show. This can happen on the cash ladder if you try to watch all ads consecutively. If you wait for 5mins then an ad should be ready. If not, then a reboot should definitely fix it. We'll be making the button greyed out in future, so it's a bit clearer that an ad isn't ready.

I do still get Ads that drop to the desktop and then don't pay, and then crash the game. I am also still getting the 1023 error and a few others that you know about, but I am not getting the 1022 error message. Mind you the Ads that are worst offenders for this error have not come up in a while. So I am not 100% sure it holds true yet! I can say the last 60 hours or so has been better! I still don't trust using an Ad to rerun a Race that I might have lost, so I don't.

Rematched with AD, the AD (Zapp App) came vertical when I’m holding my iPhone horizontal, add froze after a second, RR app closes itself and restarted. Luckily I didn’t get a -20 forfeit but I lost 7 points and couldn’t re race. This one AD (Zapp) has crashed like this a few times for me.

From my calculations the 24k points is not a bug, they made the point requirements pretty low up until level 49 so they had to add a bunch to get up to 200k to reach level 50 of the Pass.

Most will reach 50 on Tuesday with the new weekly tasks. That’s a full 2 weeks before the end of the Pass, 24k on the last rung still makes the Pass easy to finish, and easier than last month.

@coarse bronze Day four of the fix for the 1022 error! I have had a bunch of the Adverts that cause me issue run successfully now! Excellent work! I think it's working for me on my Android! I get other errors with the Adverts, as you know. I also, still don't trust using them in a rematch race. Too many people are still reporting issues with that for me to trust that watching an Advert will get me a rematch. It looks like, for me, this fix has worked, in that I have no had a single 1022 error since I followed the procedure you asked us to follow (as outlined above).
Unless you want me to continue to report about this daily, I am going to call it here for now. If I get the Error again, I will file a !bugbot report and post in this chat!

When a normal player enters a H2H and sees a few coiners, it makes H2H no fun. Here are 4 different brackets from X Class H2H just to see how they spent (good for Hutch, bad for normal players)

Yeah h2h events are too expensive to enter now... You can't even expect to get half of your golds back... Soon many will only rely on Ladders and h2h will be only for spenders... I felt this in the last X Class h2h

Hutch seems to have zero interest in anyone but ticket buyers. If you are not a ticket buyer and in the US sever you are guaranteed to run out of gold and keys and quit playing. Even if you buy the Pass and buy gold occasionally you are mathematically guaranteed to eventually be forced to quit the game. Every single ladder: guaranteed gold loss. Every single h2h in the U.S. server: guaranteed gold loss. Unless Ian decides to listen to us this game is doomed to fail.

Yep, last X class h2h sucked as top 9 were all doing multiple ticket reloads. I lost about 3 races and came 11th several hundred points down!!

The 718 h2h was exactly the same. Top 9 all reloaded multiple times, I had hardly any race losses, won mostly 30 pointers and came 10th.

Ok, so the prizes have been tweaked to feature McLaren fusion credits for this event (you may want to reboot to see the changes, or wait for the app to refresh the event data).

However, I think it's worth everyone bearing in mind that the format of events is subject to change. I'm pretty sure we've never said that the format of events would be set in stone. The live ops team will change event setup based on the data we're seeing from participation, and that's just part and parcel of a live ops game. In this case, the event had been setup with a legendary McLaren augment which was largely in place of fusion credits. Thanks!

There is a problem with an ad that doesn’t allow you to continue on after 30 seconds or a minute… it stays there and never leaves …. Holy Bible versus. @loud river You said you are always watching, so here is why this is a bug. I thought I did pretty well, yet finished 26th with 749 points. Actually about what I expected. If I wanted to finish in top 10, I would have needed around 2000 points. That would have meant at least 4 refills (tickets only) which is 2000 gold. Just to win 509 gold. Doesn't make rational sense. The coiners need their own server to give us mortals a reasonable financial chance at this game.

The other frustrating thing is how they spent a lot of money, then set a slow times on each track so their ghost doesn't lose that many points. A coiner in my "Tier A Open Round 1" beat me twice on same track by .2 seconds each time, then lost to me on that track by 10 seconds. It also disappeared at a strange time- it wasn't at the top or bottom of an hour. I was looking at it at 00:20 hrs. ET and it just disappeared and dumped me in my main screen. I looked for it for a couple of minutes, checked the Event Listing and then posted this. I was sure the Race had/has a final registration date of Tuesday Aug 10th. First it was totally gone from the map and now it's back and showing as completed.

I would rather not turn off my VPN if at all possible but if you need me to turn it off during a ladder race to see data I could maybe do it once or twice.

I think we need to confirm that the VPN is definitely the cause. So, I would suggest force closing the game, turning the VPN off, booting the game, and then doing some races, and entering an event. Then we can take a look to see if the analytics data starts coming through. If it does start coming though then it's going to be up to you whether you continue to play with the VPN turned off or not, or perhaps there's a setting in the VPN that could be made less restrictive to allow our game data through. If the events don't start coming through, then we're back to square one! As for the Tier A Resource Ladder. Our server says you started the ladder and completed it, and received all the prizes. As we haven't received any CS tickets from other players about it, I doubt that CS would offer a refund, but you'll have to discuss that with them on the thread you started.

Only way to proceed is to force close the app and watch ad again. and the worst is when it happens with rematch with AD because you lose the right to rematch.

Not sure if this is a bug but I'm in a Tier D head to head with only 12 players and in the last couple races my own profile shows up as one of the 3 opponents to choose from. I selected myself one time and after the race there was error text all over the place with "continue" or something similar at the bottom of the screen as text, not as a button, but which was still clickable. After the race, my ticket count was down one but the race didn't show up in my race history...

Sounds like the common thing is less than 100 in the event. One example I saw had two very different times and different points for the same player. Think the clue to the problem is there. Getting yourself is a worse problem tho.

Originally it was linear and another bracket would not open untill it is filled. After it was, 2 incomplete bracket filling at the same time and another one would open after it is filled. Right now there seems to be several incomplete bracket opened at the same time and only one of them is filling normally and the other ones get like one person per hour.

Yes they drastically increased resources needed to upgrade. But don’t forget they also forgot to tell us about drastically increasing the fodder we need to fuse as well as destroying any kind of cash car fusing. So they are consistent. They made three huge changes to the game that make it much worse, but somehow “forgot” to mention any of the three.

They will partially roll back some of these changes, but will later announce a permanent change to what they are doing in a couple months as long as they retain their top 10% most profitable players that make up 90% of their revenue.

This is correct. There's been an update to the reward structure in this event, so more rewards and reward types have been added in to compensate for the entry cost.
Josie and I are going to do a live Coffee + Chat next week for players to join in and ask us questions about events and changes that we're going to be introducing. Hopefully you can join us for this to ask Q's.

Ok but it may have been better to reduce the gross entry cost and improve the rewards. For example, instead of 500 entry with 200 prize back (which was always a bit silly - why not just 300 entry?), make it 350 or 400 entry, no gold back and better rewards? Less lumpy gold drain.
