Good Afternoon Rebels ,

After nearly 3 full years working on Rebel Racing, I am moving into a new role at Hutch. I am handing over the wonderful Rebel Racing Discord and Community to @plucky edge (Ian Webster), our fabulous Senior Community Manager at Hutch.

It’s been great fun being your Community Manager since the launch of the game in 2019! But now that @dark loom has his P1, I feel I’ve accomplished all I can in this role.

We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, and you all driven me to drink 🍷. But I wouldn’t change a day of it 😂

You’ll still see me online as I work in my new role as the Influencer Manager at Hutch. I’ll be keeping an eye on the game, what updates are coming out, and working on some Rebel Racing YouTube content too.

Morning all!

Following the announcement by @cosmic niche regarding her moving to a new role here at Hutch and passing over handling of the Rebel Racing Community to myself, I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself to you quickly 😀

Hi I'm Ian, Senior Community Manager here at Hutch, pleased to meet you! I've been at Hutch since Dec 2019 and previously my main responsibility was running the F1 Clash Community. I've been in Community Management for quite some time now, starting out in 2008 at Codemasters, working on various titles including F1, DiRT, GRID, Operation Flashpoint, and Overlord. I then moved on to Turn 10 Studios in 2012 where I was the EMEA Community Manager for both Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon titles. After seven years doing that I made the move to Hutch which brings us handily up to the present day.

As you might have guessed, cars and especially racing games run in my blood and I'm looking forwards to chatting to everyone and keeping you all informed on the latest Rebel Racing related news and updates!

Good Afternoon Rebels!

Today I've made a few updates to the channels in the Discord. I have also setup Channels & Roles to replace the old Role-select channel, and made a Server Guide.
For existing users, this wont change much for you! For new Discord members, they'll be onboarded in a far smoother way.

Club Owners can now make Private threads for their Club in #💬│clubs-chat, and add their club members into it. Please remember that the moderation team can see these Threads, so don't go Wild West in them. Server rules still apply!

Your responses to the bot generates a report for Hutchies to review.

We wanted to take some time to wish you all well in the difficult and unprecedented times of the coronavirus. And thank you to everyone in the community who has reached out to ask if we’re doing okay here at Hutch.

We’re in the fortunate position of already having a work from home policy two days a week, so we’ve been able to respond quickly to the situation and extend that to working from home for five days a week. This has allowed us to prevent our staff from putting themselves at unnecessary risk and currently, it means that the day to day running of our games hasn’t been affected. It’s business as usual – as much as it can be at least.

Hi @everyone, I have an announcement about a new initiative we're kicking off here on the Discord.

We have lots of helpful and welcoming players in the Discord now and we want to recognise those who are helping others and posting great content!

You can now suggest cars for Rebel Racing by filling the form below. After filling the form, the data will be stored in a private spreadsheet for Hutch employees only.

Good Afternoon All,

I am aware of the Boycott many Clubs and members are taking part in. The emails that have been sent in have all been received and are being reviewed.

Changing your usernames in Discord, or Club Names in game to include the word ‘boycott’ won’t change how we address the concerns you’ve raised. We understand why you’ve chosen this route to deliver your message, but it’s not something we condone and will therefore be reverting names back to their original state where necessary.

In memory of Stone, we have added his Discord username into the Rebel Racing game as a permanent tribute to him. You'll see the new Stone building on Beach Road track with the next release.
