You say these changes will happen in T&L 3 - that’s the January season after Mini? Feel free to remove the 2nd fusion from the SCG current ladder as a test - I’ve still 4 days to complete it. 😄

The other issue with this is that Hutch makes the last few rungs of a ladder way too difficult sometimes. Basically you have to double fuse and max s5 to have a chance at the last few rungs. I don’t think that fair at all for a ladder I had to pay to get the car to enter.

Some ideas were discussed in the meeting for how we can make the 2nd Fusion More rewarding/beneficial if a Ladder has it, but also how better to order the rewards if there's only 1 Fusion. And I really liked the sounds of the ideas discussed - but real planning and designing will happen in the new year, so I'll be able to share more info then.

Thank you. I don’t think it will be possible to increase rewards in the last few rungs to justify a second fusion in Tier S and GT with the current levels of fusion fodder required. The simplest (and I think best) solution is just to remove the need for the 2nd fusion. Give the fusion credits; as you do, and then racers can decide whether to fuse now or later. No need to try to force us or over complicate it.

2nd fusion in S and GT is extremely expensive because of the fodder now required. It therefore should be a rare event (reserved for favourite cars), not forced on us.

Actually, the idea was to have the Round 2 event of the H2H the following week with bigger prizes, not just stuffing more in the Ladder. Then it would be a "Completionist" event for those that want to Fuse a second time after the Ladder ends (2nd Fusion Credits at the last rung of the ladder) and then there's an entry requirement of a star rating req. for this special Round 2 with bigger prizes.

As I said though - this was discussed as a "what if..." sort of idea around it and isn't decided on.

Things took a DRASTIC change for the worse when a certain someone came on board with Hutch. A certain someone who won't come on here anymore to engage us.

I would think that very few players do resource ladders or the new rush. Don’t they talk about percentage engagement in each event? Why choose to keep offering resource events that are guaranteed losers for players? My only guess is the players who enter are the same players who buy cash from the shop, they don’t understand the game at all and just throw money away. In other words, just like cash in the shop, resource events are there to take advantage of uniformed players.

That makes no sense to equate cash with gold via their shop prices because cash can be accumulated by racing whereas gold cannot. If all races offered gold or cash (choice or 50:50 chance) then yes, but that’s not the case so that calculation is wrong. If Hutch really thought the resource run was good value, they would advertise it and explain why. The fact that hasn’t happened tells us something.

I’ve done 14 races in the Nissan h2h so far and gotten zero resources. Also losing 1500 cash for each gas compared to S Easy Money. By the time it’s done I’ll have used about 25 gas, which means missing out on $37,500 cash and - if trend continues - five resources, whose average value I believe calculated to about 32 gold each.

If I’m lucky I’ll stay in the 20-39 bracket - I don’t see breaking into the top 19 without coining.

So for 300 gold + 160 gold in lost resources + $37500 I will get:

• 31 silver keys (worth less than 30 fodder points)
• 36 resource keys (worth about 46 gold at face resource value, but randomness devalues this)
• 80,441 club points (cool)
• 240 gold
• $40,215 cash

Basically I’ll end up having paid 197 gold for $2700 cash + 30 fodder + 80k CP. (edited & revised below)

Not a super good return on investment really

OH- I forgot that the silver keys would get me 31% of a gold prize and 31% of a few resources too. Depending on whether I buy the silver booster or silver crate, that could improve the prognosis.

Depending on booster or crate, silver keys return about 40-55 gold. 31% of that is 12-17 gold.
Silver crate gives no resources, but booster gives 85 gold in random resources (whose value is complicated to estimate but I’ll just cut it by 50% cuz I either need them or don’t) and 31% of 50% of 85 is 13 gold

That means I’ll end up having paid about 167 gold for $2700 cash + 30 fodder (if silver crate) + 80k CP.
I cut a lot of corners to calculate that, and omitted augments because they are even harder to value than resources (either you need them or you don’t) but I dunno, it still seems a little unbalanced.

Maybe @hidden adder can show this to @elder basin or whoever does the balancing of game economics as a sample calculation of why players might feel the game is so unbalanced right now

Yes. Coming in 20th in h2h is a huge loss, so much so that repeatedly coming in 20th in h2h’s will force a player to quit the game. Big loss of cash, resources, gold, and zero gold keys rewarded. We have told Hutch about this for months, they don’t care about us non coiners. Either pay more than $100 or they don’t care if you play or not.

There are players paying many hundreds a month to play this game, and some over one thousand dollars every month. Those of us spending under fifty a month just don’t matter.

This is how the game works:

Coiner clubs full of coiner players compete against a few other coiner clubs full of coiner players. The rest of us are just spectators.

Even if I was to coin 300 for another 10 tickets and was lucky enough to break into top 19, I’d be forgoing two more regular resource drops at ~32 gold each and another 15000 cash lost from not using gas on S Easy Money.

So essentially I’d lose ~ 360 gold + $15000 cash, and gain from the next prize bracket:

• 31 gold keys
• 5 additional silver keys
• 6 additional resource keys
• about 13000 additional Club Points
• 41 additional gold coins
• about 6700 additional cash

So if I buy another 10 tickets AND get lucky enough to break into the top 19,
I’m paying about 320 gold + $8300 cash for 31 gold keys and 13,000 Club Points.

Now THAT is a lousy deal! It’s cheaper to buy gold keys with real life cash!

And even if I pony up, I still might not crack that top 19 bracket, and I have no gold keys to show for it!

Correct, coiners virtually always lose money, they can buy the rewards cheaper than buying tickets. They don’t care about rewards or value, they are paying to win in a p2w game. There’s nothing wrong with that, the real problem is Hutch decided to completely ruin the rewards for 20th place. As if giving me a few gold keys for 20th would suddenly cause every coiner to stop spending. We can have a game for those who buy tickets and for those who don’t. We can only hope Hutch realizes that fact before they kick us to the curb.

I personally think this will continue as it is , not sure about US but in EU i see more & more new heavy spenders emerging even lower level clubs coin hard now when they get the opportunity... So clearly it's working out for Hutch.

I also feel they should draw a line between f2p & p2p atleast then players know how far they can stretch and start to plan their gameplay. As of now its just the uncertainty which gets most of the players both f2p & p2p. The sooner they set those parameters the better it is imo.

The only thing Hutch needs to do to allow low spending or f2p to continue is add a small number of additional rewards to 20th place in h2h and evergreen events. Put a reasonably small number of gold keys in 20th place, and in the evergreen events after making them shootouts.

Ticket buyers can do whatever they want, and allow non ticket buyers to at least participate. By eliminating 100% of gold key availability to non coiners means they have to quit. Who’s going to play when you won’t get new cars? No new cars means no club points and no interesting events.

So my question is, why force the majority of players to quit for no reason? Getting us non coiners to quit won’t make coiners spend more. On the contrary, they will end up spending less when there is less competition everywhere eventually.

I think players here have said repeatedly that pp and stats are not accurately reflective of speed. I’m guessing you are trying to figure out which is faster. My best answer is don’t bother with either and max the Ruf, if you don’t have or want the Ruf then it’s the the Ford GT.

Lol, they do lots of things that don’t make sense. They often copy and paste stats from car to car even those those two cars have different in game results. I have almost all the cars in the game. I have spent hours testing them head to head, as have many others here. We don’t “think” we know which cars are faster, we know it for a fact. I intentionally ignore pp and stats because they are quite literally irrelevant, only the track times matter.

The RUF is faster than both Porsche and BMW. But if you don’t have / don’t want the RUF then the Porsche 911 is better than the M2.

The best C is the Custom Subaru, it’s the pro pass prize in a couple weeks. If you can pay $10 the car is worth it. If you are completely f2p then the next best alternative to max is the Focus.

Toltac, I completely agree with you. Reality would kick in if the monetary price were shown in the game for entry to Ladders and H2H, in addition to ticket refills. But because all costs are shown in gold coins people somehow ignore the costs involved (very dangerous)!

The current points bug in the SCG H2H is causing this problem. Your right-side opponent there should be 25-28 points, not 11. It’s frustrating, I know. The sandbagging problem will only be dealt with if Hutch somehow incorporates PP into opponent matching or has objective times per track factored in. 🤷‍♂️

The current system, even if debugged, radically favors sandbagging. The current system also favors targeting and destroying other players out of childish revenge ego trips.

There is nothing good or positive about the current h2h system. Why do you think every other racing game has 100 times the active players of this game?

Imo anyone arguing to keep the current h2h system is saying so because they exploit its shortcomings for their own personal benefit. They are not considering what would be best for the game overall.

I have come up with a potential solution/ idea (it's still work in progress) which I will share with Hutch to see if that's something they might /can incorporate to discourage /minimise sandbagging 👍👍

Although like upgrading the cars , racing fast is one's choice similarly choosing not to upgrade/max cars and race slow is other's choice and we are no one to question it - in general we need to stop worrying about what others do it's their money their choice.

Sorry, you must have misunderstood what I wrote, best times in the bracket get the most points. It eliminates sandbagging permanently and forever. You get points for racing and for being faster than everyone else in your bracket. Going slow would serve no purpose.

Let me try to explain again, you keep thinking I’m saying modify the current system, I’m not. The current system is broken beyond repair. I could write pages and pages of why the current system is beyond hope of repair.

We need a new h2h, leaderboard is your combined times of the 5 tracks. Fastest times get the highest places on the leaderboard. That’s the easy part, the more difficult part is coming up with a reasonable point system where you get points for using your tickets to try to improve your times. That way ticket buying still exists, you can still buy the top spots as we do now, Hutch needs that.

It’s easy to set up a leaderboard just based on best times. Lowest time of combined 5 tracks wins, and goes in order from there. However, that doesn’t give players an incentive to use more tickets or buy tickets, which Hutch wants.

So I’m thinking, and also hoping anyone else here can come up with ideas too, that they create an incentive system for using your tickets . So it depends if we stick with time or points. If we just have time then using your tickets to try to get better times can give you a fraction of a second bonus. Therefore using all your tickets, ad tickets, and buying tickets helps. Or we can base everything on points, but you have to design a system for that.

I get the fact hutch's job us to make money AND im not complaining about spending, i grew up dumping quarters into defender, asteroids, etc. But this doesn't make sense.
1- most savvy players have recognized the cars dont need maxed out, ive stopped spending on them. 2- ive spent alot in the past on rematches when we were racing at full speed, ive not paid for a rematch in 2 months. 3- by taking away club points for lower tier h2h, they had to lose alot of their revenue base & the more experienced players are learning how not to spend. 4- if your not on discord hiw would you EVER know that the top 10 players are sandbaging ( including me) & thats why you never EVER get to race them, because they are slow rolling & your racing. 5- lastly im not sure how to think of this game right now other than dishonest to half the players.

Technically yes, but it’s definitely not worth it. The Boss cars are basically useless for racing. They are just for collecting, just ignore them and continue your progress. To win without paying a lot for super nitro you have to slow down your progress by many months.

I got it and I’m enjoying it a lot! I might not be the best judge of how something drives in this game, but I don’t notice anything super weird like how the Caterham can’t corner or the 911 feels light and slippery or the Chiron feels a bit like a yacht… it kinda feels a bit like the ford GT maybe? tight, responsive, and fast. Or it could just be how cool it looks. Though I’m a bit bummed I had to shell out gold to get something that looked a little more like the proper brushed stainless finish than the super-reflective silver foil.

I should be grinding S EZ$ for cash and resources, but I keep wanting to race it again. I wish it didn’t come at the loss of cash and resources to use it!

Currently 1449 gold, but I got mine ages ago at a slightly better deal but it was for dedicated events. I cheated and bought the super boosts to get boss cars. If not, you need patience to get fused cars to beat bosses. My Porsche Turbo was my best before then, but do not underestimate the Mini. That costs real money tho.

In the long term the Ford GT is your best bet unless you spend money on the game and can afford the Ruf. The Ford is almost as good as the Ruf and you most likely will win it in time from a crate. I’d say just upgrade the B car you have just enough to win the A car.

Yes, Hutch made it too hard to upgrade cars now, they increased the resources parts requirements too much. We told them this would cause new players to quit, which it does, but they don’t listen to us.

You are going to find that you have to be incredibly patient (not weeks, but months) to progress in the game. You will miss all kinds of events and new cars. As long as you maintain that discipline and keep your expectations low, you will be fine. Hutch designed this game to get you to pay, and if you start paying, you will be sorely disappointed in this game - just read the comments here going back in time. I would encourage you to maintain a disciplined F2P approach.

Only thing you can do is use a lot of gas everyday in S tier easy money. If you use 100 gas per day you should get about 20 resources on average. But that takes a lot of time everyday.

Fusing is a long term goal, definitely going to take a long time for a new player if they don’t spend a lot of real money. You need fusion credits, the top number to the left of your level. Currently you have 0 Ford Fusion credits, as you can see from the bottom right you need 25 for the first fuse.

Then the separate thing you need is fusion fodder, the bottom bar shows you need 100. You can use duplicate cars you have as fodder, but lock one of each car. Or you can buy cash cars to get fodder. My spreadsheet in tips and tricks shows you need $272k in game cash to get the 100 fodder you need.

Many cars are not worth fusing, your Mach 1 is a good example, it’s not worth fusing it.

If you only going for best in each tier then Carerra GT is the car - McLaren won't beat it. If you don't have Carerra then Tier A mini concept is best choice ( it can be used in both mini tracks and on road tracks) - McLaren should be upgraded as last option.

Slow and steady - I have both the Tier A McLaren 570 and the '04 Porsche Carrera, both have 494 PP after Stage 4 but looking at the speed/ nitro of the McLaren, it is higher than the Porsche. The Porsche only has slightly better handling. How can the Porsche be better?

This is an arcade game and the stats / pp values don't represent true potential of any car - but as thumb rule better handling means the car will do much better in corners- in RR majority tracks are small and with lot of bends , turns so a car with better handling will be a plus always

But at the end of the day it is your call 🙂 players here can only suggest based on experience. Many senior racers have all 3 cars maxed out. They have tested it too.

Hutch themselves have said pp and stats are just general estimates and not to be taken literally. The fact remains that the Carrera will produce better times in A tier tracks than the McLaren. But I’d say the McLaren is good, one of the best in the tier, it’s just that the Carrera produces better times on these tracks. I was actually the first to post about it and no one believed me lol, the McLaren had been the go to car.

After I got finally the Carrera. It’s broken all records from the A McLaren. PP and stats doesn’t matter. Btw it’s like with the Koenigsegg everyone says it sucks well until you upgrade it with S6 resources then it’s a great with S Augs it’s an beast!

It now feels with this game, that’s it’s less about the enjoyment of racing (which first attracted me to this game) and now purely about repetition of doing certain activities within it, purely to earn gold coins. Although I purchase the season pass and enter certain H2H events (other than just the daily tier D), it’s now so predictable. This game used to be some I enjoyed playing, but now just feels like I chore. The other game I’m playing is purely racing and earning new vehicles, purely as a reward to good racing and not by having g to purchase wins or vehicles.

I’d like to start by saying a big thank you to everyone that’s taken part in Seasons 1 and 2 and for all the feedback received.
There has been a lot of discussion recently about Tracks and Laps (T&L) across the community. We hear what you are saying and are working to fix some of the issues most widely discussed.

The key challenges we are working on at the moment are Tier GT cars and their Speed Limits as well as the car database which houses all the data relating to the cars.
The team and I have a solution which we are currently working on and expect to be ready early next year.

I’m working on a longer and more in depth post I’d like to share with you at the beginning of January that will explain in more detail the problems faced, how they came about and what the intended fix is.

We really appreciate all of your feedback so far, and please do keep it coming.

The Ford GT is almost as good as the Ruf if you don’t want to spend the gold.
As for the Custom Subaru, it was offered for gold more than a year ago, before I started playing. This next pro pass is the first time it’s been offered at all since then. You’d have to ask Katie if if will ever be offered for gold again.

Thank you. You only mention Tier GT cars and their speed limits. That sounds like you plan to remove or increase the speed limit on tier GT cars. That will help those cars but it will not solve the remaining problem that both Tier A and Tier S cars are also slower than the Tier B cars.

Doesn’t work with Apple unfortunately, I’ve asked that they let us use our Apple Game Center name but they never did anything with it. Your only choices are the evil biased privacy stealing Facebook or Google.

But connecting your Apple account is still good, if your account gets messed up or your switch devices it backs up your account.

If a year ago they put an S car for sale for $75 real money everyone would have thrown a fit and said they were crazy. Yet I’m seeing players spend that right now to get the Porsche. Honestly I find it very entertaining and informative to watch, and I give Hutch credit for coming up with a way to get players to spend $75 on a single game car. I wonder what the next iteration will be to get these same players to spend $150 on a single car?

I’m in the event because there are gold keys for 20 to 39, and I’ve been asking Hutch for that for a long time. So the event itself is fine, I just think players are spending way way more than the car is worth. I’d get the Porsche for a few refills but not 20 refills lol.

The prices will continue to go up, rewards will continue to go down. If customers will pay $75 for a car without hesitation then the only logical thing to do is charge more next time. If players will buy the pro pass after the rewards have been reduced significantly twice, then it makes sense to reduce rewards further. We have the game that the top few clubs have created. It is what it is, nothing the rest of us can do about it 🤷‍♂️.

@slender shoal there are good club leaders dennis, slow & shtrudel to mention a few. The top teams could fix these issues with out hutch. Im not sure when that happen but it wouldn't be hard. For now i dont think individual players should be introducing rule changes to hutch, if theres been an election for a player rep, i missed it. We need solutions & consolidation to have game changes, not endless complaining about "coiners" & strategies. Im unaware of any good game that doesn't have competitive players spending money & im guessing without them we wouldn't have a game. We need to turn to club leaders!

Some of us grind, but the top clubs get their points from paying money for new cars. Events for new cars have a huge amount of points in them.

But you can get 100 club points from a maxed fused S car that’s not part of that month’s club theme. The max fused S tier cars from T&L give 250 points per race because this is a T&L club month.

@lost beacon fair enough. However totally disagree. The handful of top club leaders ive interacted with seem to have character and could easily get massive changes made. Its just a matter of an open discussion, and a pact including strict guidelines for a specific short amount of time. Hutch wants to make money like any business should, this game is a spreadsheet to them. We just need to show that serious minded, loyal players can introduce formulas to the revenue column. Im not sure this forum is the best place for that discussion. Most importantly i dont think that constant miscellaneous complaining from a handful of people who profess not to spend real money is in any way going to provoke any meaningful changes.
