Yeah pretty sure ... in the past I have done much less upgrades on S ladders. If you do need to do another then do tyres as that will help the most. Tilt will gain you a couple of tenths but a tricky track especially with bots to start with tilt!!

Price reductions are always nice, but Hutch are only interested in the money. They don't care about inflation, the cost of living or their customers, just money. They certainly don't care about your privacy or data protection. They have no interest in integrating Google play nicknames to hide your real name. I don't know about everyone else, but I find it quite hard to memorise 60+ team mates names that are RR123456, etc.

I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make. The game is not structured to where only the fastest and most skilled win. The people with deep pockets will still have the fastest cars, buy all the season cars, buy into all events, and also spend the IRL money to max them. Then you got the professional sandbaggers who go so slow that they avoid the fastest racers and still finish near the top of the h2h events. Those in the middle will still be fighting for their lives. In the end it'll mix things up a little but you won't see a dramatic shake-up in how the season ends. You certainly will not see a team who's never finished outside the top 15 in the top 5. It would be an interesting experiment at least.

Hutch could make plenty of money off the game and still make it an actual racing game. They have tunnel vision and take all the short cuts to make the most money the easiest way. The prime example is to look at all the technical issues the game has with servers and bugs. Instead of investing time and money to correct this they'd rather just focus on pushing out more and more cars. They don't even do that right anymore. The cars are all copy and paste repeats with some tweaking. Look at the Demon vs the Viper. IRL the Viper was built to race road courses and does it pretty well. The Demon was built for the dragstrip to go straight very fast a quarter mile at a time. It's joke the Demon is faster than the Viper. I believe the Viper was copied from the stupid Hellcat SUV. In no real scenario is a Demon on the track with Porches, McLarens, etc. 🤦‍♂️

But it’s not making much anymore, that’s why they are way fewer players now than a year ago, and Hutch slashed the number of people working on it. I would guess they just have to put the game on autopilot so they don’t have to put time and money into it. This could have been a really popular game, now it’s being abandoned from active development.

That is a correct assessment as evidenced by the repeated cut and paste events and vehicles. Hutch is putting very little thought into the realism of the game and the cars (a la the Cadillac Escalade). They put in an airport to go to Italy, and I doubt there will ever be another flight anywhere else in the world. I asked Hutch if they are ever going to run another AMA to tell us about the exciting things they are working on, and I was greated by silence (like most interactions in this game).

It happened for a brief period here and then all of a sudden there were two brackets 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think this is aimed at putting a stop to the linear approach where people can wait 24 hours to join the second, sometimes easier bracket. With two brackets you have to join right away or fall behind. This eliminates people waiting and not spending money while they wait to join again a move to maximize profits and not to enhance anyone’s happiness. 🙂

Hmmmm I think some people need a lesson or two in business 101. I can absolutely guarantee you businesses that have better customer relations and are not always chasing the bottom dollar, excel far better than ones that are only interested in short term money grabbing tactics. It is and always will be a much more profitable business, (in the long term), if the business as a whole is focused on a good quality product at a reasonable price with happy satisfied customers. The repeat business and word of mouth recommendations can never be underestimated. This is why every where we have these cheap 1 or 2 dollar shops that are short lived in a business sense. Yes they make reasonable (not lots) of money quickly, but they offer crap products at cheap prices. Hence why businesses that sell good quality products at reasonable prices far out way them and are around much much longer. Again it also comes down to one’s own integrity, of being happy selling cheap crap and not caring about the customer. I for one will buy somewhere that shows a more caring attitude to what I want over someone who is just there for the sale. Even if it means spending a little bit more.

Do you honestly think this game makes what it did last year? There are many statistical data points that prove it unquestionably is making a lot less. Most every choice they made reduced long term profitability. Honestly I find it ludicrous that anyone could possibly think this game is doing anywhere near as well as it did when Ian was running it. You can charge ridiculous prices for bad products and some will still pay it, just look at the top clubs. However, the price elasticity curve proves that’s not profit optimizing.

I agree with you I just don’t think they care. It’s a video game which is never a long term business. Something new always comes along that pulls people away. It’s all short term based on quarterly projections and profits. It is time to head into semi-retirement. I really enjoyed racing the Challenger, and stuck around for the season because of the car. The rest of the game has become cut and paste - Hutch has nothing interesting or exciting going on, and this is now the time for them to disappear until mid-January (not that they are really around much). Nice racing with everyone, and I may put in an occasional appearance, then drift off into the sunset. Now off to write my memoirs like Barak Obama…

100%. I much prefer the Tier D, C, B, A & S open events they run during the season. There is the odd new car that’s worth getting e.g Lambo Season (Tier A Spider). But for the most GT T&L is crap. I prefer Tier D, C & B new cars, as more player participate, which usually means more fun. Fun is what’s missing from this game. It’s become boring (Sorry Hutch), but I’m being open with this fact!

Perhaps consider adding a new area or two to the map, with some new bosses. Perhaps Electric Vehicles (Tiers D, C, B, A , S). Make it exciting again.

When Hutch decides to release a new car they can make it special and one which all players want , rather than 3 new crap vehicles. The copy and paste approach has driven too many player away. Only a handful of ticket addicts are keeping this game going at the moment. When they go!

I’m not terribly concerned about absolute accuracy. I just really enjoy the game. I do wish they would fix some of the cars. The Challenger and Viper are real head scratchers. Yet I see lots enter things like the Bugatti which had terrible rewards and a big loss for 20th and above. There should have been 600 players with the Charger, I think about a third of that entered the second h2h.

Like with most Hutch “offers” they miss the sweet spot by a mile.
Having the ladder after the h2h is insane unless they supply the car with the fusion credits.
The ladder has too few credits, not that it would be worth fusion After the h2h.
I, like a lot of others, already have the non halloween version but if they’d offered a better package I’m sure they would have sold loads more.
Package it with 6 A augs, 100gk, 100sk, 300 fusion credits and a good few hundred resource keys and I would have bought it as would I suspect a load of other people …..
