On top of what Singularity said- Freddie Prinze Jr said he won’t do any more work as Kanan and he wishes they wouldn’t have been allowed to use his voice in the sequels.
Replacing a VA isn’t something that’s taken lightly in the industry from what I understand. They could swap Kanan with some rando nameless Jedi or a holocron if they need to use some similar storytelling for some reason.
