id say its better just having like basic speed control teams like tailwind and trick room which are archetypes ofc but u dont really need to know that exactly outside like press this button outspeed and do big damage. its essentially just forming a basis of experience for you to eventually build on

well if u are serious about getting better i wouldnt just go off what u had been told prior. if u dont really care as much and really just wanna use w/e and dont really care about wins then u kinda can just pick w/e and play ur just not really gna gain understanding of whats happening much of if at all
