by far the highest cost of attending regionals is flight + hotel which is why most players just go to regionals that are driving distance and stay with other people

Top 16 players get $750, Top 8 gets $1000, and so on. Winner gets $6000 if I remember correctly

my first ever regional 2.5 years ago was only $30 to enter 😦 RIP. But it also had wayyyyy worse prizing
