I’ve experimented with many defensive teras on Ursa, Tofu was singing my praises back in June for saying Water was the way.

You always come back to Ghost because Ursaluna is mandatorily a Trick Room Pokemon. The only times its realistically taking hits is after you attack while under TR.

Ghost makes sure you always get to attack instead of getting Faked Out.

Water/Grass/Dragon/Poison are all solid defensive teras on Ursa but are only justifiable if running Indeedee or Farigiraf as another means to stop Fake Out.

Using Protect for Fake Out is NOT the way, because you don’t want to be wasting precious Trick Room turns.

i started on gen 8 and did pretty decently, but comp's never been my forte haha. i tried to get better at it but always got pulled aside bc of other priorities; want to give it a shot now because I want to make certain pokemon work! lots of people have helped and made comp much more enjoyable than it would've been if i just went into it blind hahaha. i don't think i'll really sit down and grind out calcs and all anytime soon though, but i might hop in and out just to ask qs every now and then!

On a team like yours Amoonguss and Ogerpon actually do the same job and Ogerpon does it better

You dont need spore just the redirection

But yeah, it's fairly situational

But the feeling of punishing surging strikes with amoongus rocky helmet is too satisfying to give up

Also Ogerpon is max attack so it doesn't always function as support

Overall the team is working well enough with very few issues

Waterpon should not be max attack. Otherwise just do Fire or Rock
