Hi! I've got a genuine question out of curiosity!

I often hear that Steel is one of the best, if not the best typing competitively because of its multiple resistances, and can hit 2x against Fairy—so I just suddenly wondered what might be the reason why I (personally) rarely hear Perrserker ever mentioned in vgc/competitive at all as another option for TR*? o:

With Tough Claws and 110 Attack Stat, I assume it can hit into Flutter Mane and Urshifu (with Play Rough) hard? Although I understand that Urshifu and Flutter will always hit first unless TR is up. But ig I'm just wondering if there's any viability for Perrserker as an offensive support that can work with TR and without? Fake Out, Iron Head, Play Rough, Taunt/Helping Hand? Just something I'd like to hear more about to understand why some mons that look good to me on paper might not be feasible vs. the meta! My initial impression was that it just wasn't bulky enough maybe with 70HP and 60SpDef, so it'll likely get OHKO'd by Chi-Yu

*Aside from this, I do hear he was used very briefly as a Steel support because of Steely Spirit, but that didn't really take off in competitive I think?

its not bulky enough, and the need to setup for it makes it quite hard to use

while its true that it can basically kill flutter, flutter is already a paper in defensive side

why bother getting another mon to handle flutter which also needs TR too

theres already some mons that can handle flutter quite well without the need of others like rilla AV, walls quite well and woodhammer always ohko, glide pressure and even miracle seed grass tera glide can ohko flutter

not saying its bad, i just dont see any reason to run it

urshifu wise, watershifu also coincidentally handled by rilla quite well, and for darkshifu basically any fairy move does the trick

its 4x, unless it teras to dark
