but yeah Gate Crash often feels like Fall Mountain in that if you fail and fall off once you just have no chance anymore at this point. it does feel quite miserable when you fail it and the room of error is so little

I think people hated Door Dash when they think it's "luck based", but it's actually not that bad lol... they just don't know the nuances of playing

literally just:

1. spread out your checks
2. try to open doors near the side pillars of it for the quickest-possible-pivot-to-next door

and you will constantly be in front lol..

it's insane how after these many years I still see a lot of people NOT try to spread out checks lol, like I can be in front, there's some bean next to me, they see I am clearly aiming for a specific door, and they go toward the same direction

(even though spreading out your checks with other front-running beans mean you both quickly discover the path forward and gives you the best chance of staying up in the lead), instead of like 6+ beans all going for the same door -> fail -> try next one -> discovering doors too slowly one by one at a snail's pace and there's a chance they fall behind so far)

Lag doesn't affect how fast your character runs, and I don't think there's a trick to run faster other than using the obstacles in the maps to get a boost

There's a Technique You Can Do at the Beginning of Rounds, or When You're Standing Still, Called the Wiggle Strat, where You Move Forwards and Wiggle the Stick Slightly Left and Right to Reach Max Acceleration Faster

has the in-game friends list become messed up in recent days for anyone else?

ofc there's that annoying thing already where you can load up and it straight out of the gate doesn't work and says "oops something unexpected happened" but I'm not talking about that. it's become even less workable for me in the past couple days as when it does display, I'm no longer able to add new players, anytime I try to do so it doesn't provide a list of usernames I've searched for anymore instead saying "an error has occurred, please try again later. Error: Unknown Error Code"

I also noticed that during a session the friends list won't update for me with time, it just remains as it was the first minute I loaded up the game sooo yeah, pretty broken rn and idk why it's happening. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling which has made no difference. Think this is the third day straight it's been like this

I used to play only on Steam and all my progress is there.

When I launched the game recently, it required an Epic Games account and automatically created a new empty Epic account. Now my Steam account got unlinked and the game still requires Epic, so I can’t access my progress.

I don’t want to use that new Epic account. I just want my original Steam progress to be properly linked so I can play again.

I like to collect all my exp when i play in a day and see how many extra crowns i get when i restart game!

its basically 15k exp per crown isnt it? so 5 games to final round w/o win = crown
