I think using kbm is better because when you are playing with a controller, you can't press the buttons at the same time your move your camera, you always need to change the position that your right thumb is. Also, i think moving your camera with your mouse is way more precise.

The levels in 2025 were pretty good imo, although they didn’t add many new features as they were preparing to wind down the game so they mainly leaned on the themes

The Yeetropolis update and Tropical Tides update added some new gimmicks though which were cool!

The Yeetropolis levels didn’t use the new stuff at all for some reason though besides the decorations

i definitely. remember the western levels because i hated all of them aside from like one

The fantasy ones were really special since they had new music made for them

They even made a new everybody falls, loading screen music, and elimination board jingle

Sadly none of those are in the game anymore besides the song used in the fantasy levels

The Western levels were incredibly rushed lol

The Fantasy theme was seemingly meant to be what launched in that update but they delayed it last second and swapped the theme out

So the wild western levels were thrown together super quickly without any actually themed things to go with them

god those race stages were awful though

They ended up addressing a lot of their flaws in the remasters they made back in August and September but they’re still worse than the other modern levels in a lot of ways

They could only do so much with the remasters and a lot of those changes were just making them actually look on par with the other themes quality wise

The Wild Western levels just kinda use a bunch of stuff from the themes that came after it now lol

gooprope didnt really take advantage of the new features and was just. slightly better jump showdown which is super not a compliment and gold rush was either too random or too consistent and i never took the time to learn which one it was

Like adding more moving parts to square up or adding significantly more objects to sort it out

Or a tutorial beginning section to mind the gap like the other seasonal showcase levels

Knockout is the main mode I always play so I get to experience the new players still getting murdered by shape up every time it appears

thats REALLY surprising because my biggest criticism of survival rounds is that theyre too easy to like

live, usually

theyre not like consistent for the most part but its rare for them to throw any real curveballs at you

I will say, from my experience playing classic solos whenever my dailies ask me to do so, the players in there seem to have way more experience on average most of the time

suppose its good because survivals are like the least deflating levels to lose on but

its not exactly good balance in your funny wacky party game when its so. easy for the good players to just win all the time

similar issue that race levels have but worse and in levels that actually have redeeming qualities outside of presentation

MT has always struggled with survival levels and the modern ones especially have been somewhat hit or miss

its theoretically interesting because its one of the only levels in the game that feels like it was built to facilitate grabbing but it never goes anywhere

Despite Knockout having significantly more finals it still loves to spam Roll Off whenever it gets the chance sometimes

And the SS2 variation is just a 10% chance despite that making it way more interesting to play

I have only like 330hrs on the game

Yet I still lose 90% of the time

And I have 767 crowns

I also really wish they would increase the roundpool size of ranked knockout

30 levels in a rotation really isn’t a lot, especially when Knockout used to have 40 level rotations

I finish Ranked Knockout and the Ranked Mastery Cycles super quick anyways so it’s not too big of a deal, but the few days that I am playing them frequently they just feel really repetitive compared to Knockout
