Anyone that has the skin and not the emote will mean that they bought it in the shop, so that won't be as valuable as the one that has the emote proving that they got it the intended way.
That way, everyone can have the costume, but the emoticons are the cosmetics that maintains the costumes' real value.

At least in xtreme some of the elimination floors are quite high and even if you do leave, you still need to actually win finals.
