once you get the timing down they're fairly easy
just hold forward all the time you're not making contact on your jump (hence you are "neutral" on movement when you jump)

It's exactly the opposite as a neutral jump. While on neutral jump you don't want to move when you are going to jump to avoid being pushed backwards, here you want to jump while moving to use that push on your advantage

Maybe that helps you to understand how it works

And that's called Odin jump btw. Maybe it has a different name when used on ledges, but the idea is the same
