it is likely because most are playing the regular ranked @elfin flame

if you are trying to playing on us servers also it is still early in morning. i would recommend trying to shift to europe server for the next hour or so as they are reaching midday and thus likely more busy

Agreed. If someone in a lobby I am in starts spamming them non-stop for more than about 15 seconds I usually try to drop them just to get them to stop as it gets to a point where they are just being jerks.

Bud I already reached superstar in regular ranked yesterday and am at silver in roll call as of when I left for work this morning. Do you really want to poke the proverbial bear like that ? 😉

But in any case I am normally peaceful so long as people aren't driving me bonkers with the emoticon sound effects

As long as you do so before you are eliminated yes. However be aware that at least when it came to the ranked fall ball one off they did make a change on that later in that cycle and mode. With that said you are usually better off to try as much as possible to qualify and not rely on that to try to avoid points loss

One other thing easy, and as a note this is how things seemed to me yesterday and is in no way at all confirmed. The different server seemed to be sort of hyper focusing on on or two finals each so to speak. It may just have been a situation of me getting in sort of set timing and just as a result landing in lobbies that kept hitting the same finals, however I end up with around 10-15 blast balls finals in a row with maybe one or two others in the mix on us East yesterday. When I tried changing to west I then seemed to keep pulling lost temple repeatedly. So if you keep running into the same final and it is not one of your better ones it may be worth it to try switching to another nearby server to see if you may get some variation

5 times is not horrible but I’ve played since Christmas of 2020 so I’ve had a few more years of playtime which is why I’m definitely better at the game but the fact that you were able to get that far and win five times is a great start just keep going

For roll off it's essentially practice makes perfect and you can learn to timeout on the map every time regardless of the variant

Time of the day/what server you're on can impact things quite a bit. Like in my time zone, the average skill level of competitors goes way up around 10pm once the noobs are off to bed

technically Solos has a hidden SBMM but it's only with a certain percentage of players, maybe 20% will be your actual skill level on average then the rest are inexperienced

but yeah in terms of ranked knockout, knockout, and all the other game modes opponents are entirely random.

The closest thing we have every gotten to ranked games in pubs was when ranked X-Treme solos came out, very sweaty lobbies even tho there was no SBMM

It's probably like that because of queue times. Even when the game went f2p and had 50 million players, soon as they added SBMM, the queue times went up. Solo would never fill completely, meanwhile duos (didn't have sbmm at that time) was instant. Super tight matchmaking will also bring back the "I went out because of bad spawn issue", except now it's ranked. Imagine the salt.

It's not serious business anyway, never will be as long as you can leave to save your points. What other ranked games do that? I can't think of any others. All games have the "bad servers, my internet is fine because it shows a big number" brigade as well, and they still dock you points at minimum (some will suspend you as well for leaving ranked). This game, you are going to lose points, just leave, no worries. Even Xtreme ranked, the mode that was suppose to be a harder ranked, let you do it .

Ranked just isn't serious business on this game, it's just something else to do.

Genuine Question, but What Aspects would Show a Bad Internet Connection Despite Having an Ethernet Connection with High Download and Upload Speeds?

For stability, mostly jitter and packet loss for the most part. Packet loss is literally losing data, so it's bad. Jitter is variability in latency of packets, so 15ms, 50ms, 30ms and so on. Stable connection should have no packet loss and minimal jitter. You can have high bandwidth and still have packet loss/jitter or both.

If you are good though, and it shows nothing, but you still suffer issues, it still doesn't mean it's the servers. They aren't picking on anyone, I can't remember the last time I got a disconnect. Bean gods don't smile on me and damn others.

If still no good, maybe you are going to have to dig into the weeds a bit. Maybe you do have packetloss issues, maybe they are intermittent, so you need to set up long term monitoring, rather than a snapshot that a quick test effectively is. Maybe it's routing issues between your isp and server, so you'll need grab the server ip (if you can) and test against that game server., maybe it's a bad intermediate hop showing issues. Not much you can do there, isp won't reroute you for a game. Further the server, more hops, more chance of issues.

If you are in a shared household, maybe it's bufferbloat causing your issues (literally the packets being queued up on the router, more likely to happen when the connection is saturated), maybe you need to invest in something that can run CAKE to deal with it.

Mostly though, ethernet (actual ethernet, not ethernet connected to a wifi repeater/mesh node, or powerline adapter) + sufficent bandwidth for a given game + low jitter and no packetloss, should be good enough for most people. But the servers aren't picking on people, if the servers were "bad" as we see claimed over and over, everyone would suffer the same.

But "it shows a big number" is just a terrible metric for saying "it's fine". So is "it works on other games", just because other games tolerate what ever your issue is, doesn't mean all will.

Same with bandwidth, most games barely use anything anyway. Bean game uses about 70MB of data an hour. That shakes out to 20KB/s, that's nothing bandwidth wise.

Same as xtreme solo. Needed to win to get points when you are silver.

A load of people cried because they were not good enough and ranked should be a participation trophy. Was afraid MT would bottle it and make it so just making the final gives you points, so you can just grind away and get it, but thankfully it's been kept the same.

Up to silver in xtreme, that's enough bean game for today. Not sure if I like xtreme squads, has similar problems to normal xtreme (can leave to save points, lots of maps are in no way xtreme and you basically can't go off. The dregs of the game are out in force as usual, tampering with connection/playing far out of region to abuse desync) and on top of that, it keeps spamming massive finals. Then Click on Settings, and you should see an Option to Reinstall Epic Online Services. After it Reinstalls, the Social Panel Should Hopefully Work when you Open Fall Guys Again

100% I spent a few hours across the past 2 days and got Superstar. Probably the easiest season/cycle so far. The caliber of beans in ranked has decreased. In C1-3 there’d be at least 3-5 sweaty beans in every final, now it’s either 1 or 2 max, if that.
