Noticing that I can lose a lot more often in ranked simply because of a bad starting line position, even if the level otherwise goes as smooth as it possibly can, there is just no way to catch up if it also goes that smoothly for the people in front
like spawning in the back far right in See Saw is often a death sentence

i get top 5 99% of the time in that I am mostly top 2, and I think what you say has some truth to it, but it does not apply in ranked, only in customs with other elite players

see saw is one map you are right, but even then you can do the respawn exploit, and most of the time others are also blocked up with you.

Yes it would be more competitive if everyone had their own map and it was like a mini time trial, but in ranked you shouldnt have an issue with qualifying due to spawn. Maybe getting first? can be an issue with bad spawn but not qualifying

I feel like respawn "exploit" is just a gamble in disguise

It can either put you at the very front of the checkpoint and save you a ton of time every time if you're lucky enough, or it'll spawn you at the very back and just make you waste time

But yeah overall I'd say respectfully if you're losing in ranked then it's very likely to be on you than on your starting position

I'd say starting position deciding live or die on really happens in high comp customs and even then it's pretty uncommon

I play aggresive

you should always be looking to kill people in the finals, imo. castle seige, hexR, TI, sometimes on gooprope if possible. I do it as its far more satisfying to kill everyone than win, rather than just win by surviving. Plus, on rounds like thin ice, every person that dies increases your chances of winning. If you really want to win thats not really the best playstyle, but letting the rounds play out where I have no control isnt something I like.
Jump showdown, Dodge dive crap and blunder blocks are really easy, if people look friendly I will timeout unless someone grabs.
Blunder blocks I find really laggy with grabs, sometimes I just put up with it ifor a while and be careful
LT u gotta know most of the paths, although i got lucky on 1 win on that

Blunder Blocks and Dodge Dive are just too easy to time-out, cause there is no variety. Always the same order of blocks / balls and so on... But I would NEVER EVER grab out anyone who is not attacking me ... I'm using my emotes to have fun and LOVE to be friendly...

Roll Off is gone because MT have some sort of problem with it. Don't know why, but MT really seem to hate it. It has constantly got the short end of the stick over the years.

Randomly missing from shows for no reason.
Pulled from shows for no reason. It was pulled from SOTF because of the bug where randomly it would want to eliminate all players to end, so you needed to timeout. That effected all survival finals, but only Roll Off got bonked. Still not back.
Finals marathon, it can only be a final. Only other maps joining it are Fall Mountain and Lost Temple which make sense because of the crown, but Roll Off is final only just because MT say so.
X-treme ranked, it was the only final that was locked to round 2 only for a while. Strange that, always Roll Off that seems to find itself it weird situations.
Roll Call LTM is barely ran.
Barely shows up in shows. Even once duos was changed to 10 players max (instead of 8 when it just shared squads numbers), it hardly showed up even though it had the same chance as others. I was actually tracking my games at one point and it was easily the final showing up the least

No idea why MT hate it. Only thing I can think is that 9/10 the better player will win and MT don't like that and want more RNG in finals.

I think the problem is that all the walls are already moving in the first minute, so you have 4 minutes of the same pattern over and over again

If they add more delay to the later walls it'll make it easier in the first cycles, but fell less repetitive at the end

If a teammate is still alive, you technically were not eliminated yet, so it would be treated the same as if you abandoned the game in any other circumstance (you forfeit all gains and losses, not that you would stand to lose points anymore if it was a final)

Oftentimes, it’s better to just insta-elim, get the +50 and start the next show earlier than fighting it out for a small chance at getting 25 more points and a large chance of just wasting your time competing in the final.

During earlier ranks, I generally aim to eliminate myself ASAP on survival finals.

That's fine to do in a solo show, but for squads that's pretty disrespectful to your teammates, particularly since you couldn't have been doing too badly if you made it to the final in the first place
If it's not entirely preformed you also have no idea if the teammate(s) will do the same thing you're doing, and as I was saying you can't just leave until your entire squad is out anyway if you want to get your points

Most survival finals have a hidden time, usually ~5 minutes, where anyone who survives automatically wins. Thin Ice, Jump Showdown, Hex-A-Gone for small numbers etc. are relatively easy to time out with the right circumstances

After playing for half an hour or so just close the Game and open It again

That way It refreshes and It Will not disconnect

we’ll start with some shows, then hats, shoes and gold costumes. the following week can be half of the walking platforms in levels removed, then the title screen is outta there. no more settings or language options. week 3 brings to an end all race rounds & the colours green, orange and pink in game. week 4 sees the end of survival rounds because nothing is surviving here. say bye bye to all costumes that came out post unity levels. and then on the final day of week 4, enough people should have melted down online for the enjoyment to all which the game then without warning is deleted from all servers and save files in the epic games system and leaves a foot print of a game that was popular for 2 weeks in august 2020

I’ve played with the worlds best over twitch customs/tournaments and the skill gap is insane between those games and any “ranked” game that has been played.

The potential is huge considering this game is so unique in the ranked sense. A platformer/battle royale

It’s just gonna be recycled slop for the rest of the time if this doesn’t happen. Sure new skins/emotes/cosmetics etc are great but until any real changes happen the game will slowly crumble into nothing.

I love the game so much so I’ve been playing as much as I can in hopes that this game will actually make a change

Its not really a skip, but if you manage to go slow enough in the points zone at the end you can earn both points in one lap. It takes finesse, or lots of lag, lol

It happened to me once when I was playing in a far away server with laggy connection, wasn't even trying to do it.

i can regularly complete it within the time of others completing one lap. it is mostly a matter of getting used to hitting all the boosts right, and it depends on whether or not the other beans in the lobby are decent at the level or not. And as a note i am talking by playing it through, not taking advatange of any skips etc.

if i get it in ranked knockout again, i can try to record it on my pc and show you

but doing so is mostly a matter of chaining the boosts together, because if you can keep hitting them before the prior one runs out it makes you run that much faster (ie along the lines of back and forthing through a single boost)

But from Bronze to Superstar there's a big distance

Supposing you have a decent amount of free time, you can reach Star without much effort

But to get through Star and reach Superstar, the fastest way by far is winning

You have to get 1,000 points (divided in 5 subranks) and each win gives 200 (a full subrank), but getting to the finals and losing gives only 10
