Okay so I decided to delete pokemon violet right I recently downloaded it again and all my data was deleted for no reason is there a way to back it up?

Pretty sure it's gone gone. I don't think Nintendo switch online cloud backup is compatible with pokemon games on the switch. Unless you manually backed it up with CFW then you wont be getting your save file back anytime soon (or at all)

To recover your Pokémon Scarlet or Violet save file, follow these steps:

• From Pokémon Scarlet or Violet's Main Menu, press and hold D-Pad Up + the X button + the B button.
• After a moment, the main menu will fade to black and display your most recently backed-up saved data. To restore your data, select Start from backup data.

If there is anything at all backed up on your switch, it will load it
