Because the original one stack output of a navy/air unit is more than what's actually displayed as it's divided on 3 targets.

That Air unit did 3.40B on 3 stacks, meaning if it was just one target of their main (as there are with tanks) - that'd be a lot more.

I don't think it's full on 33% per stack if 3 stacks are targetted, but there's a roughly that amount difference. But if it was 33% per stack when hitting 3, then original output for that stack would be 3.40 x 3 = 10.2B, and 40% of that is about 4B. But yeah, like I said, I don't think it's flat out 33% per stack when multi target units.

My navy does 1.93T on one stack of opponent navy, if there's 3 stacks it does 760B - which means a normal navy attack does roughly 40% per stack (or 39.38%), which means navy default behavior actually deals 120% original damage when attacking 3 stacks simultaneously. But the units actual damage is based of the 1v1 - the actual damage output for the unit - which is the same base ATK/HP for any unit whether be air, navy or army.

The game isn't balanced.

Every new hero released one ups the last, and they haven't reworked the base heroes so each type gets to dominate for a month until next hero comes out. Even still the game works on rock-paper-scissors matchups so army isn't supposed to do well against navy regardless of the heroes, Aya Selina easily beats aka yuu/bailos and aka yuu beats prey Ben so it all works out. If you want to beat navy build your af heroes.

The devs haven't stated their interest in balancing so it's just a matter of working with what we got. I played army for a long time but made the transition to af after aka came out because it was easier to play.

Ok you're thinking about this backwards

A level 80 unit has 650M base ATK, whether it's navy, air or army. Hero buffs, skills, base buffs, decors, anything you can think of - affects this number.
On a normal attack, Army hits 100% of that combined ATK into one stack; air and navy divides that into multiple - hence each stack it hits are less than that combined number - but altogether more.

Hero exclusive, such as Aka, is based on the unit ATK, not what the divided output numbers are over the top of enemy units in a battle replay.

Watch Akatora vs. World Boss replay and the numbers should make sense, as that's vs. 1 unit

Any trigger hero DMG is based off that Full Stack Damage

Army will then deal 100B always (unless dodge or crit)
Navy and air will deal 100B if it's one target, and 40B on each of the 3 targets if its 3. Just game logic of how it is.

Hero exclusive (like Akatora trigger) is based on the units damage, not whatever the unit divided into multiple targets.

Well he uses Bailos (presumably with exclusive) which are superior to Amalia, which is dmg increase - which effectively multiply the ATK, and he uses Yuu which has a shield which works as DMG decrease on your shots, topped off with him using Akatora with Navy which means he'll severely debuff (dmg decrease) on all targets he triggers on.

So suppression+dmg decrease+the shield effects will have massive effect on your damage output

You should pay more attention to DMG increase and DMG decrease those attributes weigh way more on the damage dealt and damage received

And not just skills and attributes, also the heros description on how they perform

(Feel free for anyone else to jump in here and explain, I feel I'm not explaining this understandably enough as we've been going back and forth awhile)

As for the elite units, all classes will be getting 3 heroes, along with a free class change (that's atleast what they promised) so your tms won't have to worry too much

@shell smelt your problem between navy and land is one that has been argued throughout the history of the game, with the way navy attacks and suppressions boosts survival rate, its hard that 1 land will defend vs 1 navy march... Problem is the differences between your hero combo, suppressions, skills, perks, formation, mastery, overall damage (attack, dmg Increase etc) and overall survival (hp, dmg decrease etc), so its not a question of imbalance, but how far you're behind him

Honestly i dont have to bring in the numbers but i hope you can understand the logic behind, cant really measure the % number precisely with increase in march size

As long as you understand that damage increase is a multiplier and atk increase is just a stack, you would understand the concept that an increase in march size = higher dmg and higher attack for each unit gain. the % cant be calclated tbh, you cant just assume one person increase in 1 march size = 15% increase in atk and it applies to everyone

Exactly. And the odd thing with gathering. They don’t add all the hero’s base values together. They chose your better one. Then add the skills and perks to the over all gathering initial increase

And crit goes into the algorithm at a chance. 1-10 that it hits or doesnt. All skills are not created equal. Most often you can run a lvl 3 rare DMG increase and fair better then a lvl 5 rare atk

Hey all! Question: I play army and am close to f2p. Unfortunately when I started I did not see the value of the new hero lottery so I missed a few..

Currently my strongest setup is katy 5* and villiers 5* with 70% all units attack perk. Furthermore I have optimus and precys both 1 star. Collecting shards to make them 5 star will take me months at least. Should I keep spending shards on buffing katy + villiers at this point, or still better to start saving for optimus or precys? Any tips? Thanks!

The Devs really need to apply a large amount of priority to this matter as the lack of balance is causing many to lose interest.
