Can confirm that the Coastal route segment 2 corruption is still present in today's build. So the boxes around opponent's car at the start of a race issue is fixed, but not the visual bug near the end of segment two of the Coastal route.

It likely is a ini problem, there some wacky stuff happening. I had part of my screen cut off when the core first released with the ini i'm using

Fastest thing would thing to test that would be swapping to example ini

Will stream more of the game in the next few days and complete it on stream. I know in RetroArch the ending is messed up, so I will be curious if the core will display the same issue or not.

So, I was playing more Guardian War today and I noticed the wings on the Garuda class' wings look different to how they do on RetroArch. I also noticed that despite both being set to 1080p and for RA being set to interger scale and 1:1 for the aspect ratio, I get more screen real estate on RA.

#

Now that I think of it. MiSTer auto populated the bios.

#

I should ensure I'm using NTSC.

tribal sandal
#

Yeah if mister grabbed it you should be ntsc

cunning matrix
#

Okay, so I made sure to make sure I've got the correct bios, the correct settings and it does appear to use the same amount of screen real estate(in normal mode).

#

So, there is this sparking animation that happens on my feet, but when I move to a certain square it goes away. Not sure if the effect should be there or not.

#

Okay, so it appears to do it in RA as well.

#

Guess I hadn't noticed it before.

#

Audio wise it does seem like GW sounds worse through MiSTer, but not sure if that's because RA is improving the audio?

#

And I mean noticeably worse.

grim goblet
#

If you can find real hardware captures from youtube and compare to those, it would be significantly better. I don't think that any of the 3DO emulators are regarded as being highly accurate, or least not something worth comparing the cores output against in most cases.

Audio still has some more work to be done on anyways, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon S has some severe audio glitches that occur, and I'm sure there's still other issues existing.

cunning matrix
#

One of my friends said he has a friend with a 3DO who can help me compare(if he's up for it). I told him I would send him a copy of my save file if he has the time.

#

Just waiting to hear back.

#

If I can sell my Atari Jaguar I can more than likely invest in a 3DO and try to compare.

Same. Obviously Mega CD here. I actually bought a Neo geo AES but couldn't use it on my TV as it only had RF - I had to keep dragging it to the lounge. Use megadrive as example.

It went from the Genesis core to the Megadrive core (more accurate) that uses a lot more CLBs, to the point it can’t fit in 32x and SegaCD. Bigger FPGA can accommodate that.

I don’t see why not this sort of switch wouldn’t happen to system like SNES that suddenly bigger FPGA is desirable. My understanding is the current SNES core is already right on the edge.

I’m sure a lot of people considered the Genesis core was “working perfectly” back in the day.

So sick of idiots who gotta immediately whine and bitch over someone posting a silly A.I. photo cause they're just having some fun and trying to share a few laughs and the virtue signalling clowns gotta come in with their AI SLOP!! AI TRASH comments, like bro, get a fucking life.

Grok's response

#

""AI SLOP!" Wow, you really got me. The same two-word brainfart you spam under every single AI image like a broken record. Bro, at this point you're not a critic — you're a malfunctioning notification. "AI SLOP!" doesn't make you look based or discerning. It makes you look like the guy who walks into an art gallery and yells "PAINT!" at every canvas because he has nothing actually insightful to say.Real criticism: composition, lighting, prompt quality, artistic intent, creativity.
Your contribution: two words and a superiority complex. Touch grass, develop a personality, or at least rotate your copypasta. The bar for "owning the AI bros" is on the floor and you're still limboing under it. Stay mad. The images will keep getting better."

It's fine to have differing opinions, but my god every single time a person posts an ai photo...they act like f'n children, and you know what...they prove AI needs to exist because of their braindead responses that show they can't even think for themselves to begin with

it's ALWAYS the same two responses

I seem to have a problem loading games using fz1e bios for pal games as cd_bios file in one of my game folders, it's just a black screen but if i go to my other games folder with default bios they work fine as ntsc. Pal support did work on previous versions of the core that supported cd_bios file loading

Tons of games don't let you save and say the ram is full. Slayer being one example

dire sinew
#

what game? slayer? I can look at it in a sec

visual sonnet
grim goblet
#

As far as I know, the save issues are from not being on unstable main when it was updated for save support, and possibly issues with the config files that are fixed by deleting the 3do config file. I've had no issues with saving in any game, including slayer, deathkeep, killing time, escape from monster manor, or belzerion, since saving was added.

visual sonnet
#

I have the latest unstable main and each time a new unstable main releases I update to that one

#

I'm pretty sure I deleted the 3do config file awhile ago but I'll do so again and see what happens cause Slayer still won't save for me.

#

One odd thing that occurred when I updated my mister main a few weeks ago was when it boots up it puts an error about vrr in the top left corner. Which is odd cause I've never once adjusted anything to do with VRR. If I delete the mister.ini does it just create a new one upon boot?

grim goblet
#

no, but there is an example ini you can rename

#

You can just delete those vrr options it complains about from the ini file, no need to delete the whole thing

#

They were options that were removed recently, there just doesn't exist a way to remove old deprecated options automatically

visual sonnet
#

Ah ok cool. Thank you

#

The lines it was referring to when i booted it up was this ; Minimum framerate in VRR mode.
vrr_min_framerate=0
; Maximum framerate in VRR mode (currently only used in Freesync mode).
vrr_max_framerate=0

#

ill just delete those lines
