if you're feeling squishy during campaign that almost always means you're not capped on resists, since you get plenty of life from levelling up + just a few hp nodes. I'd check if any of your items have an open suffix and put the 1 transmute resist craft everywhere you can. plenty of racers play through the campaign with half their gear being white items with a single resist craft added.
If you are res capped and somehow still dying, check if your life flask matches your character level (bigger life flasks drop every ~6 levels) and maybe overlevel a bit and grab a few extra HP nodes

also if u grab optimal skillpoints u shouldnt have damage issues

also u should be monitoring your level vs the area of the zone you're in

minion pact scales damage with health; intuitively you want the highest health minion then. this is unholy aberration, with a ridiculous 1400% increased health... for some reason
dark marionette doesn't have this. at all. the saving grace of it is that it automatically revives on death, but that nowhere near outweighs how much damage you lose
