I wouldn’t let that bother you. Register the cpu, keep an eye on temps and otherwise live your life.

I’m an AMD cpu man but if you manage your system and take care of if it nothing you do will cause a problem. If something out of your control happens you’ll be able to get a new one

Intel will also likely push updates etc to help mitigate the problem (bios updates etc.) So all in all take care of your system and you should be fine

oh man. Intel said they would release a microcode update my mid august for 13/14th gen cpus to address the instabilities. It seems the i9's in particular are struggling the most though. I put an i7-14700k in my system, so I am in the same boat. They also mentioned something about oxidation in 13th gen processors. Now if the damage done will affect the cpu after the update: I don't think we know yet??

IMPORTANT: for all of us on the MH board, UPDATE BIOS and look specifically for the microcode focus in the update.
Video is very informative on the issue and plan forward. Chances are with most of us having purchased a new CPU we are ok, but update your bios immediately and look to mid August for the permanent fix.

Update for any who care. Received an email back, was told to call support, support said to just use the RMA form on their site. Was told they cannot supply a refurbished and would either supply a new monitor or repair mine.
Just thought I would share for any others who may be experiencing issues. 😄

I don't think it's specific to the MH ones. I saw reviews of the standard version monitor arriving with dead pixels frequently. As long as they can fix it, I don't really care. I only have room for 2 monitors at the moment anyways. Bought the 3rd for when I move later this year.

It's convenient when researching the monitor, theres only two pages on google. But every page I looked through, either had it in stock in places I couldn't get it or were lying when it came to the us.

Trustelectronics for example says there is about 1000 copies in their store which is not true.

Yeah luckily my pixel isnt anything like that! Just one green stuck pixel, so I can live with it. The monitor I was using before had a dead pixel I was living with so at this point it's literally a straight upgrade, but it still is super unfortunate

Yeah your whole experience with the monitor put me off, on top of the fact that MSI basically just pulled the monitor off the site with one small random drop and didn’t really provide an update or reason behind it.

I chronically researched for months to keep tabs on the release on the monster hunter collab parts. I was there minute 0 when the whole pc part set released.

I overestimated the speed of scalpers, I genuinely think I was the first to buy all the parts.

I do have to thank MSI for being descrete and hard to find. It allowed me to get the purchase done in under a minute.

I found out about the website reset times and I waited patiently every morning for the drop.

Not to @ a week later but actually same with mine, haha. I have four green ones and one blue one, only one is super noticeable though. I imported so don’t really have the chance for RMA and knew the consequences going in, but it’s still frustrating how common the issues seemed to be!
