from terminal at desktop

shy echo
#

it says it dosent support it

molten jungle
#

what do you get for efibootmgr ?

shy echo
molten jungle
#

then you'll have to register the nvidia driver

#

there's a way to do it, following...

shy echo
#

so all this

sudo mokutil -i /var/lib/shim-signed/mok/MOK.der
mokutil --list-enrolled
sudo mokutil --test-key /var/lib/shim-signed/mok/MOK.der
sudo mokutil --enable-validation at some point it will ask you to create a password, remember it and when you reboot and enable Secure Boot, you will likely need to choose enroll MOK option and enter the same password

molten jungle
#

ya

#

the part that says "at some point it will ask...." deserves to be on a new line as informational wording

shy echo
#

yes

molten jungle
#

just put 123456 or something easy for SB password to enroll it

shy echo
#

i did it

molten jungle
#

Reboot, then open terminal. then hit up arrow to repeat very first command I had you do, and check the outcome

shy echo
#

can i just restart the pc

#

or does it need to be a whole shutdown

molten jungle
#

yes n enroll it

#

probably some bluescreen page

shy echo
#

No rightt?

molten jungle
#

probably "yes"

#

to enroll it

shy echo
#

Oops

molten jungle
#

idk if u had used 7 characters

shy echo
#

Pressed no

#

If I reeboot again does it bring it back to the same menu

molten jungle
#

probably but u have to run jeremy's commands again one by one

#

and use 1234567890 as the password then

shy echo
#

Yeah I reeboted and now everything is super scaled up

molten jungle
#

check the inxi u first did

shy echo
molten jungle
#

is that recent?

shy echo
#

ys

molten jungle
#

cuz ur driver isnt registered, clearly

shy echo
#

that is really bad?

molten jungle
#

just redo all the steps, and do it right

shy echo
#

ok

#

So

shy echo
#

Yes this time?

#

It just says failed to delete secure boot state

molten jungle
#

get into BIOS then whatever u have to do

#

the proper driver to use for the GTX 1000-series is the 470

shy echo
#

i give up nothing works

molten jungle
#

u gotta go into BIOS

#

perhaps it's Escape key, THEN F2 at powerup

#

but it MUST be done within ONE or TWO seconds immediately upon seeing the manufacturer's splash

shy echo
#

I'll try it tomorrow with 100% keyboard. Tried already for like 2 hours
