are you saying that on Windows, this drive's capacity showed as 0 bytes?

Not drive , but a folder in that drive , even in windows it says its 0 in size and cant copy or paste it and show file not found , while when i click in the folder i see my pdf files with their size 🤔

perhaps instead of what you did, next time, Right-click the folder, and choose "Properties"

if you need those pdf's badly, better make a backup of them, from linux

you can also run a chkdsk on that drive from Windows in admin. command prompt

#

chkdsk <drive letter>: /f

#

just substitute drive letter for your case, and no brackets

Its a mess these day , last day i had this problem in linux and tgought maybe bcd the harddrive is ntfs and my system is linux so perhaps not too compatible. So i ve benn 2 days transferring my 1 tera so i can format it to exfat and return the files , and now on windows same problen with exfat 🥲
