At the time, about 2 years after they broke up, I was visiting Japan and someone gave me a mixtape of Boowy. I loved it. Had no idea what they were singing about or how to get more music (this was pre-internet). Cut to a few years ago and I decided to look them up on Youtube. Found this amazing concert footage of the lead singer from 2009. Hearing the first song in this set, with all the people singing along, made me cry. ❤️

Won't lie, Into The Woods was fun to watch. Some of the songs were catchy but I don't see myself owning a physical copy... I've never been to an in-person musical myself so I have no point of reference to compare movies to live musicals. 😅

This summer, I decided to make a music video, cover a song, and create a band with my friends…

We covered “Memories” by Weezer, one of my favorite songs by far. While the lyrics aren’t particularly touching, or very relatable, listening to it has always given me a sense of nostalgia. With each play, I’m reminded of my fondest memories, which I share with the people I grew up with. I’ve always wanted to cover this song with a music video that highlighted some of those memories – I’m happy to say that day has finally arrived.

After 2-months of production, 20+ recording sessions, and a lifetime of memories, the Bridgewater Baddies present our “Memories.”
