Collect about 200-300 of them, open them and if you didn't get what you needed, restart the day and try again

It stores it in the auto harvester. I do the auto harvest on the crops that you only have to plant once and they will keep producing throughout the season. It harvests all quality of crops. Tho it doesn't like when you get the giant crop, that it won't harvest.

Hello I just wanted to note the palace cut screen crashes the game. Unable to complete this quest so unable to get gold kelp.

Those lines are just the division marker between land vs ocean maps within the fast travel waypoint view

I was under the impression its a placeholder map but it never got updated, crossing my fingers that there will be a nicer looking map down the line

I still don't quite understand what you mean. What map do you have issue with. The fast travel one that is one the screenshot or the main ocean one, that you see while underwater.
And what do you expect to see?

The difference between the land and ocean map is because land has more distinct fast travel points. And ocean only 5
