Biggest contributor to Swordfish range is Halberd mag. Remove it and then it loses almost half of its range.

Halberd:
1st damage range 1-49m, then 50-60m is final range.

No Halberd:
1st damage range 1-29m, then 30-60m final range.

If you remove Halberd mag then its range isn't that significant anymore
