You really need to try the crossbow with poltergeist skill equipped. The passive of skill says double damage on pistols, and crossbow belongs to pistols category. You also need to have double tap and level 5 pack a punch to have 2 arrows per mag. I tested it without the poltergeist skill, it dealt 12000+ damage headshot to jubokko, and with poltergeist skill equipped dealt 25000 damage headshot, x2 with pack a punch, so it becomes 50000 damage.
