Was just the right mix of realism that I didn’t know I needed for the series. I really liked Niko as a character too. Currently gaslighting myself into believing the realism pendulum is swinging back in that direction with GTA 6 based on everything we’ve seen about it, especially after what they delivered with RDR2.

I don’t need full on sim realism by any means. I actually think RDR2 went too far with some of it. I really didn’t enjoy the survival elements in it, and I really hope they don’t bring much of it into GTA. I do think GTA needs to maintain a certain level of arcadeyness. But its story, set pieces, and physics being aimed more towards realism and groundedness is something I’d prefer. And I know the gta series has a history of not quite being like that. So even if GTA6 lands somewhere between 4 and 5 I’ll probably be quite happy with it. So far I haven’t seen anything about 6 I disliked, other than rumors of how they’ll handle the online mode. But nothing is confirmed yet.

It's decent - I mainly like the tuning and customisation aspects, definitely gives "need for speed underground" sort of vibes.

Perhaps goes a step further though because you can alter various aspects of the engine, suspension, downforce, transmission etc.

Definitely worth it on sale and consider when not.

So I decided I wanted to replay a number of the GTA games. I went through GTA3, and I started playing LCS today. After a good number of hours with it, I don’t understand why this game hasn’t been ported to modern consoles like the trilogy has. I’ve only ever played through the game once when I was a kid, but replaying it now, especially right after 3, it’s a solid GTA game. I mean it’s a better game than 3 in almost every way.

I’m currently playing the mobile version with a controller, while screen casting to my tv. It’s not a bad setup. I just wish the controls were more modern. But at least I can move the camera around. Also why didn’t Vice City Stories get a mobile port? Rockstar is so weird with the attention they give to these older GTA games.

You just can’t play like any of the other games. You can’t drive like you can make quick fine adjustments. They made the cars so they have a lot of weight to them and you’ve got to account for that with everything. You may never like the driving physics, but they are what they are.

Who cares if it’s “legal”. If they don’t want to make the game more accessible, that’s their problem. Not like they’d be making any money if you did buy it legally, unless you buy the mobile version. Which then, they’re making a whopping $7. Never feel bad about emulating a game that isn’t easily accessible. Especially one that’s like 20 years old. I guarantee the devs themselves would care more about you just playing and enjoying their game than the light morals behind it or the pennies a billion dollar corporation might lose out on.

Also just an fyi, I just finished playing the mobile version of LCS while screen mirroring to my TV, and using a controller via Bluetooth. And it’s actually a decent setup. Also, both of those games are also on PS2, which is another option if you’re really dedicated to playing them the “right way”. Though copies of each might be costly, and you’ll need a PS2.

If Rockstar Games stop putting their absolute focus into live-service online multiplayer and allowed a tiny budget for just a few studios to sidetrack, we’d get more AA games. Guys, I've tried everything and I can't fix it. My GTA 4 starts up and everything seems normal, but after the cutscenes, the loading screen gets infinite and won't load no matter what. Also, when I close the tab and go back to the game, the screen goes black and I have to restart my PC. Everything was normal, but this happened after I tried installing ENB. I've already cleaned all possible files, uninstalled and reinstalled , and the problems persist. Does anyone know how to solve this?
