For people wondering why RPG3 is the main focus currently and not chainbound it comes down to my personal views on an anime game and an non anime game.

Anime games standards aren't as important because they have backbone of a pre-established fanbase, meaning that people will play cause of the title/anime alone

Non anime games standards matter greatly since you have to earn players to your game and make them invested into the game

I want all my future games quality to be better, so I want to use RPG3 has a stepping stone on testing all my new features I've added/want to add in chainbound, but make RPG3 sort of a test run. Making sure there's no big exploits or how optimized the game is.

RPG3 and Chainbound will be built with the same foundations, they both are quite similar in it's systems in terms of coding but they are different in how they play.

Chainbound will always be my end goal for scripting, but RPG3 will be the test to build confidence in my new ideas/mechancis and test it in a wider scale.

I'd like to give an update for Shounen Studio's in general, we have remained a bit quite on what we're doing behind the scenes but I'll try explain a bit of what's going on.

I've seen a few people concerned on why we're doing a new demon slayer game instead of updating DSRPG2. The main reason comes to that I think we can re-ignite our passion for the franchise by establishing a new title. DSRPG2 has been out since 2020, almost three years now (though been in development early 2020). DSRPG2 is outdated compared to the all the demon slayer games released after, we're one of the oldest demon slayer games on roblox. I want to bring passion back into demon slayer games and change the perspective on how it can be made.

The main reasons for DSRPG3 taking priority of DSRPG2:

1. DSRPG2 Coding is heavily outdated
2. DSRPG2 is just unoptimized
3. DSRPG2 has outdated mechanics and visuals
4. DSRPG3 aims to bring something new to the table.

Demon Slayer RPG3 is a passion project, we always discourage P2W in all our games and want to bring a fun, active and lively community to participate in both PvE and PvP events.

For those curious on Chainbound, don't worry! DSRPG3 and Chainbound will use the same modules and set up so if DSRPG3 is progressing, so is chainbound. DSRPG3 will also act as a testing phase for chainbound since we're going to add experimental ideas to DSRPG3 we had for chainbound and see how well it performs.

For blue lock, we're sorry for now but we'd rather focus on the development of DSRPG3 (+ Chainbound) for the time being, if anything I can see us working on blue lock after a few blue lock games come out so we can learn the pro's and cons of the blue lock game genres.

For those curious on the connections to DSRPG2 and DSRPG3, no they will be completely different games, we don't plan on just remaking DSRPG2 with pretty graphics, we want to innovate and add new things demon slayer games haven't added before. DSRPG3 will have a lot more PvE content and actual fun progression that'll keep being updated even after release. We've got big plans and goals for DSRPG3 and I hope you guys will stick with us during the process. More information for DSRPG3 will be revealed later, we'd like to not spoil everything and make sure our ideas don't get copied.

@everyone For people wondering how the gameplay will be like for RPG3, this is something that we haven't spoken about much only because we'd like to show off the features and gameplay near release, we don't feel like its necessary to hype up the development like crazy with explaining the game away. But I will say this, RPG3 focuses on RPG2's cons and makes it into pro's (Example PVE or Character customization for example). After the release of RPG3 we will love to do PVE content alongside PVP content unlike RPG2 which only focused on PVP. Still, expect some random previews (#👀│previews ) and more specific details will be revealed near release. (We also just don't wanna give our secrets away to avoid people copying our style)

For people wondering, currently Demon Slayer RPG 3 doesn't have a release date.

Initially I wanted to make a more polish generic Demon Slayer game, but when I started development many ideas came to me and now I want to create an amazing game filled with content and mechanics that will stand out compare to all other Demon Slayer games & Anime games.

We want to take our time delivering a high quality game, as this will be my final Demon Slayer game.

I'm going to give some estimated statistics to give you guys an idea of the development.

Backend Coding - 85% Completed
Frontend Coding - 20% Completed (Frontend is a lot quicker to do than Backend)
Overworld Map - 40% Completed

We don't want to spoil too much with the game at the moment, but we can assure you that there will be a lot of things to unlock. We'd also like to make progression less linear and give players more options and ways to progress.

There are some features that we wanted to add on release, but we will be adding after release. (Nichirin Customization is an example of something that will be delayed).

We will be posting more previews again soon so please stay tuned for that!

And before anyone else asks, we should mention this as well. Most gamepasses WILL NOT TRANSFER TO RPG3. They are separate games. Only ones that will transfer will be the vergil sword and kokushibo sword gamepass. Every other gamepass will not transfer over.

The game development in the past month and a half has been going tremendous, there's been a lot of improvements, additions, and polish since. We are at the state now we will start working on the core progression since the back end is pretty much done with the game mechanics. This will probably be the fastest process of the development.

This game development wise has it's ups and down, sometimes there were times I was demotivated and took breaks during development, but now we're on a high point.

We want to release a polished optimized game with a ton of content on release, development has been going on for around 10 months so I'd like to say thank you for your wait.

We are getting closer step by step.

A rushed game will always be a bad game, and we don't want to be a bad surprising I know.

As for the update for the video this month, we are currently waiting for some assets for the video.
The video will cover basic information, and we might post monthly update videos afterwards to give players a general update as development is progressing.

Demon Slayer RPG 2 will be getting an update that removes any copyrighted material from the game to ensure the game can still be enjoyed by players. We will try get this out very soon, there will be changes which some players won't like but need to happen.

The game will be renamed to "DSRPG2" as well.

We will be disabling some gamepasses during for the update and will replace those gamepasses with revamped versions after the update comes out. [Please give us some time and sorry for the convinence.]

Finalised all the character designs and fixed a lot of bugs caused by the update so try it out now.

We will also be fixing some animations caused around a year ago with some skills, I won't be able to fix the animations for everything but for some important skills will do.

On this note, RPG3 will be named 'Hinokami' but it's still the sequel to this game of course. We sadly have to delay the video due to some recent events involving anime games on roblox so we will have to change a few things before the official video is out. Even though it isn't our fault we still do apologize for the delay regardless, this situation sucks for everyone.

There will be a mix of human and demon bosses.

Most of the bosses will be a world event spawn, meaning they will be at a location where all players can participate in.

Each boss will have several drops, this may include cosmetics, passives and even skills.

You can mix and match different skills you've obtained.

This is an important vote for hinokami. We are debating if there should be drops like accessories or such that affect gameplay, so example there could be a drop for a cosmetic like a cape which gives you a bit faster running speed or such. It wouldn't be anything too crazy but little add ons to the character.

If you purchase the paid access version you will be given exclusive rewards that won't be obtainable after release. (Wisteria Lantern, 2 Custom Eyes, 1 Custom Facemark, 1 Custom Sword Pattern, 1 Custom Haori). Paid access will be 400 robux [All rewards will be available to all characters slots too as well.]

The paid access will drop with PC, Mobile and Console support.

@everyone I'll give some information how some of the skill and passives work. You will have limited passive and skill slots (Passive Slots Max = 8, Skill Slots Max = 5), you unlock slots via levelling up. You will also have passive and skill points which can be obtained via world events or bosses, whenever you gain a new passive you will have three options. Claim, Decline or Decide Later. Claiming a passive gives you the passive, if you do not have the passive point requirement, it'll automatically give it to you whenever you gain a passive point. Discard means you will never be able to obtain that passive again unless you wipe your character (You wipe yourself, players can't wipe you.) The max passive points will be 16 and max skill points will be 7

So if you want to to re-do your build, you can just wipe yourself. [Wiping will only reset your levels and passive/skill points etc.]

You keep everything else.

1. You can do anytime and include 3 of your party members to do final selection.

2. Final exam is every hour but can be done with up to 15 people.

If I add both options this is how it will be.

1. Doing it solo or with your party members will have a stricter time and be more difficult.

2. Doing it with others every hour will be easier but technically could be more chaotic.

Though it is unlikely you'd purposely join a high ping server, the game will have ping compensation for parrying at least, I'd say if your ping averages around 180+ or so.

@everyone Hi, it's been a while since I showed some PVE stuff, so I think for this first showcase I'll show off the bandits.

Bandits are one of the weaker npc's in the game, but they are good at their swordsmanship.

In this game, NPC's will play a mix of offense and defence.

This showcase is an example of how you fight multiple NPC's. (With base combat, not including skills.)

For PVE NPC's will have an invisible Posture Bar (Not to get it mixed with block bar).

Posture bar acts similar to Sekiro, where you have to be engaging the npc constantly in order to stagger them. If you are equal levels with the NPC, it will be a stronger version of the guard break which will stun them for around 8 seconds. If you are stronger then the NPC, you will be able to one shot them in the stagger state.

PVE is quite different to PVP due to this mechanic of having to constantly engage the enemy while building up their posture bar to kill them.

Players do NOT have this posture mechanic.

Anyways enjoy the small and basic PVE clip.

At the end of the clip, the yellow flash effect shows the posture break.

Also the music in the clip is our own custom soundtrack, will be releasing a full length soundtrack soon hopefully. 🙂
